Help an Educator Feather Her Nest

Today is #GivingTuesday, a time-honored tradition handed down from parent to child since it was invented ten minutes ago. And in the spirit of giving, I have a favor to ask.

My sister-in-law, an elementary school librarian, needs funds to equip her maker space with educational tools to help young minds grow. Otherwise, they’ll be nothing but birdbrains, scrounging for tips like our friend here.

To raise the funds, she’s using DonorsChoose, which is like a Kickstarter for educators. Visit her page for the complete details, and chip in what you can. Thank you.

And thanks for the video to giver-inner Alison, who shot this on “our trip to Bearizona in Williams, AZ. They have rescued and rehabilitated birds trained to take your donations. Genius.”

Hope it helps! If you’re in Arizona put Bearizona on your list. Drive through area with lots of big animals, birds of prey show, & a walk through zoo. (No endorsement received for mention โ˜บ) Great stop on way to Grand Canyon.

I’ve been to AZ many times but Bearizona has somehow escaped my notice… must rectify this oversight at once!

Donation to your sister’s classroom is done. ๐Ÿ™‚ This was the perfect opportunity to do some Christmas-season giving (my family doesn’t do any gift buying). Thanks for the chance to make a difference!
