Bunday Open Thread: It’s In the Bag

Hmmph. Every time my human comes home from the store, she’s carrying crunchy carrots, luscious lettuce, ravishing radishes… and then she puts it all in the refrigerator and I get stuck holding the bag. Needless to say, I sternly disapprove.

    Some adorable disapproval there!
Fell asleep on sofa last night, woken by a disgruntled rabbit sitting on my side, chewing on my glasses. Theo is normally penned up for the night, for safety and sanity reasons, so it could have been a LOT worse. ?

I just watched a wonderful show about a rabbit and a labradoodle who are friends on a family farm. The rabbit was in charge of the dog. If the dog played to rough the rabbit gave him a nip and a good kick. Plus a huge look of disapproval.

What was the name of the show? ?

          Unlikely Animal Friends.
          The rabbit was awesome.

I checked my grocery bags but there was no bunny in them. 🙁

    • Deb December 6, 2015 / 10:46 am

I didn’t get a bunny in my grocery bag either. Maybe I needed to buy more radishes to get the deal?

That is one adorable ball of fluff and disapproval!

Bananas will probably be better bait, DEB!

        • Deb December 6, 2015 / 8:11 pm

          Ah yes, of course! 😉

NTMTOM you gave us happy snowflakes across the site! It’s a winter wonderland website!

Cute, eh? I saw a box marked “add snow” and since I love putting checkmarks in boxes, there it is. 🙂

      • Alison December 6, 2015 / 10:46 am

Is there a way to make that visible when viewing on a phone? How about hover texts? The “desktop view” doesn’t do anything. Cute bunny. ??

It looks like the snow effect doesn’t work on phones and tablets. Sorry about that.

Regarding hovertexts on mobile devices, you may be able to read those by tapping and holding on an image. This should bring up a menu of choices, and the hovertext will be at the top of that menu. This works on iOS version 7 and up, and Android.

I discovered this recently on my tablet. I was so happy! I had missed so many hovers on the, um, other site…

          • Alison December 6, 2015 / 6:48 pm

Doesn’t work on galaxy s4. 🙁 Will have to upgrade at some point.

          • Alison December 6, 2015 / 7:14 pm

The hovers either. I’ll have to get out the laptop. 🙂

        • Muppet2171 December 7, 2015 / 8:28 am

The hovers work on my Android phone in Chrome but not in whatever their default browser is. Not seeing the snow tho. 🙂

I am late to this party– I just came on and thought, wait, it’s snowing! Too neat Mike. Thank you! Now I will go on my run with a smile– yesterday’s something, santa sac and today well, sweet snow. 🙂 (Different type of smiles of course.)

Gloriously gorgeous garbanzos, lovely luscious legumes, balmily born bananas, dauntingly disturbing dragonfruit,

Gaa! Somebody help get my brain out of this circle, it is like an ear worm, but for alliteration!

    • Faye December 6, 2015 / 8:55 pm

Gloriously gorgeous garbanzos. Sounds like a retro cat call.

      • Faye December 6, 2015 / 8:56 pm

That should put a stop to it.

I love the cyber snow NTMTOM. Very festive and best of all, I don’t have to shovel it!

  6. Janice December 6, 2015 / 12:22 pm

Having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit this year. The snow helps! Thanks.

  7. 6rabbits December 6, 2015 / 8:07 pm

Since this an open thread, may I just say, NTMTOM, how much I ???? that I can peruse this site without my tablet constantly telling me there is a “problem” and reloading ad naseum. It’s caused me to drop visits to a certain other cute site because it is so frustrating being kept from teh qte! Awesome you don’t tolerate that kind of torture in this neighborhood.???

    • Faye December 6, 2015 / 8:53 pm

Ahhh. I thought that was just me. Slightly paranoid and not techie enough. This entire experience has be more pleasurable. Thank you NTMTOM.

      • Not That Mike The Other Mike December 6, 2015 / 9:17 pm

You’re both very welcome, and I’m glad to make everyone so happy. I’ll try to keep things that way.

So, my comment has nothing to do with bunnies and not really anything to do with snow, but I thought, who else might appreciate the awesome weekend I had but folks here. Our local humane society had pet photos with Santa this weekend – which was cool enough on its own & my cat got his picture with Santa – but what knocked my weekend out of the park? The couple in line behind me had a pet rooster, in a Santa suit, getting his photo taken with Santa. I really don’t get to see that every day. In fact, it may just have been a once in a lifetime experience. The only downside is I forgot my camera at home. Otherwise you bet I would be sending NTMTOM a photo of Rooster Santa!

    • Deb December 6, 2015 / 9:43 pm

      That sounds hilarious!

    • Faye December 7, 2015 / 4:48 am

That happens to me all the time. Just kidding! If that happens to you again then you’re having a flashback.

      Totally awesomely cute encounter. ?
