How’d The Nightmare Audition Go?

“Jeez, don’t even ask. Here’s my day in four words: ‘We’ll let you know.’ That’s the one thing I really hate about this business, so much bandwagon-jumping and no loyalty. One kid dreams of a giant rattlesnake with a flaming clown’s head and it’s a sleeper hit, so now that’s all the casting directors want to see. And I have a killer CV, too. To this day, there are kids who won’t go to bed until Mom and Dad check the closets for Birdgirl. Now I can’t even get arrested in this town, dammit.”

Fater than a locomotive! Can poop on tall buildings (and cars) in a single bound!

Thought Birdgirl sounded like a superhero.

This is awesome! I used to dream about having wings. Mine were gigantic, rising 3ft above my head and sweeping the ground, brilliant beautiful iridescent blue. This is well before the movie Maleficent came out. Although I guess mine would not be as grand as hers as I am quite a bit shorter.

Except last night… I dreamt about hamster pants…

I think that might be Tippi Hedren trying to make it to the phone booth.

LOL! Good one! To this day if I see a lot of birds perching together I think of good old Mr. Hitchcock. Also I never stay in cabin #1 in a Motel.

Just finished reading a “middle grades” book called _Nightmares_ , with the premise that when a particular nightmare wasn’t getting work (because he/she was no longer considered scary) he/she could either choose to be a different nightmare or retire to Dreamland. Once the plot progressed to where the human protagonist crossed the portal into the world of nightmares it got interesting, and had a lot of humor. One nightmare that had to change was “bathing” which had been much feared in the middle ages?

Ha! 6rabbits that is too funny about the ‘bathing’ nightmare. Apparently, Queen Elizabeth 1, had massive issues concerning bathing, dental hygiene etc. Thanks for this tip; just when I am fed up and have seen too many photos of people lining up to see Donald Trump, the internet delivers 3 fold back. Good, strong magic, thanks again.

People lining up en masse to see D. Trump is MY nightmare!?
