Oh fudge, sweet fudge, why must you torment me? How I long to savor your seductive chocolate frosting and sinful cream filling! Your very sprinkles call to me! But alas, if I eat of thee, you will do me ill. Just like Pepperidge Farm, I remember.

OMG! I haven’t had Pepperidge Farm chocolate cake in at least 20 years! I forgot it even existed. Curse you NTMTOM, now I can’t stop thinking about it!
Are these the cakes that are surrounded by a strip of white corragated cardboard? As a kid the best part was pulling that off and licking all the icing.
I sheepishly admit that I have had my fair share of Pepperidge Farm White Coconut cake in my day. I would slug down a chunk and eagerly go back for more. One year in lieu of a birthday cake (from a real bakery) I bought myself for less than $5.00 PF White Coconut cake and ate the whole damn thing. Yes, the whole thing! 🙂 Like those who eat a sleeve of Girl Scout Cookies.
Luckily, those days are over.
Or are they? 🙂
Is there anything in that photo other than cake? CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE

Yes. CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE.
One time just before a major blizzard snowed us in for a week, my father and I made it across a six lane Main Street to the corner store where we purchased Pepperidge Farm chocolate chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chocolate chip ice cream, Hershy chocolate syrup, and Pepperidge Farm chocolate fudge brownies with a couple of bags of Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies double stuffed.
We were stocked up.
I sincerely hope that he got a galleon of milk to go with all of that.
What a fun father.
We went with two two liter bottles of Coca-Cola with real sugar and caffeine!
We had a lot of fun together for many years.
By the time of the blizzard he was in his 80s and I was in my 50s.
Big blizzards bring out the inner child if you know you are safe.
I do believe that Pupperidge Farm makes a delightful triple tiered whipped liver pate confection!
Win!!!
With bacon icing?
Many moons ago, when I was a kid, there was a Pepperidge Farms bakery outlet store that my mom used to go to. We’d go there and stock up on bread and english muffins. Then there were all the goodies that I usually wasn’t allowed to have (mom baked all our sweets) and if I was extra good, sometimes I could pick out a package of cookies just for me. And I love their cakes from the freezer, those were another special occasion treat. Good memories!
