This is why I write my long comments in notepad and then paste them in the comment box.

As a lawyer myself, it is my legal opinion (without any deemed warranty or guarantee) that, without prejudice to any rights and/or obligations in connection therewith (and being subject, at all applicable times, to the laws of the County of Manitowoc, the State of Wisconsin and the federal laws of the United States of American applicable therein), that it is hereby and heretoforewith inconclusively determined whether or not the said writer of the comment is a lawyer (or not).

I know someone in Manitowoc! He’s in my Christmas card exchange every year.

His name isn’t “Steve Avery” is it?

Nope. Irving Patrick Freleigh. Or so he calls himself on the forum that does the exchange. 😉

(I won’t post his real name for obvious reasons.)

I knew I was going to step on the toes of the law profession with this post, so I apologize to any lawyers who read this. It’s profession that’s commonly disparaged, until you need one, and suddenly they’re miracle workers. I speak from experience.

I’m a lawyer and I don’t mind at all laughing at lawyers and our habits — especially the volume of writing we do — it can be comical. I doubt any toes are injured in this post. Besides, isn’t there a theory of assumed risk? Birdcage?

So there are at least two lawyers here and we’ve called ourselves Birdcage and BananaBreadHead? I think we’ve shown ourselves capable of fun.
