Thanks for Sharing

I want to thank all the people who share my posts via Facebook and Twitter (and any other ways). Please, please keep doing that. Not only does it grow the audience for this blog, it helps me learn what sort of posts and photos you really enjoy, which makes it easier to cynically pander to you like the craven bootlicker that I am.

Is there a way you could suggest to spread the word without using social media? I don’t partake, but would like to help.

If you correspond with friends via email, you could send them links to articles that you think they’d enjoy. There’s a button below each article labeled “Email” which will let you enter a friend’s address, plus your name and address so they’ll know who’s sending it.

To send an article to several people at once, it will be simplest to copy its address and paste it into a message.

Jeez, now I feel like Methuselah. Well, when I’m not waving my cane at “these kids today,” I’ll email your especially good ones.

I don’t do social media either, tho I do have a facebook account I never use, and I’m 52, which I don’t think is old at all. We can form a club!

Thanks for the support. I too have a Facebook account I don’t use. Makes me wonder how many of Facebook’s 32 billion customers don’t actually use it. Imagining Mark Zuckerberg as a smaller Colossus bestriding the earth is cheering

Count me in. Most of my valuable online time is spent right here!

          Don’t feel bad…

The only one of those I suffer from so far, at 65, is being angry a lot, which, come to think of it, is a result of a different old person thing – I read the New York Times every morning – the actual newspaper.

I don’t feel as though you pander to us cynically. Maybe shamelessly, but hey–whatever it takes!

Thanks! FB is my favorite platform because it shares both the picture and some of the writing, so that strangers can get an idea of what I’m all about. Twitter and Pinterest are more limited, but they’re still useful for many folks.

Don’t feel bad, guys, I’m in the no-tech club too – no facebook or twitter account; had a cellphone and got rid of it – and I’m 50. I just don’t like what social media has done to the notion of privacy.

Oh, and I read a paper newspaper too!

‘Get off my lawn, you darn kids!’ 😀
