Substitute Bunday

“Good morning, readers. Miss Poofywrinkle, your regular bunny, is unable to appear in today’s post. My name is Mr. Smooshowski, and I will be your substitute bunny for today. Miss Poofywrinkle says you are to use today’s post for open conversation, and she expects to hear nothing but glowing reports about your behavior when she gets back.”

Im not sure if he looks more worried, sad or disgusted but he is definitely not enjoying the bunny ears. 😀

The snow/bumm combination isn’t helping. Lol.

You look like a deranged Easter bunny. Are you happy wearing those ears?? Are you?? (doggy shakes head). Please tell him he can take them off. (my apologies to Jean Shepherd and A Christmas Story)

We’ve got disapproving buns, and now we have sad buns. What WILL they think of next?

“Hey you bunlets in the back: stop hopping around!…save that for recess; and you two in the front: stop batting your ears at each other….! and you lop-eared twins in the middle: stop demonstrating the ‘bunny-hop’ to your classmates-they already know how to dance that….! Oh, wait! it’s almost lunchtime:
you monitors: drag out the carrot tub…….”

Why are Pugs the ones always getting ‘punished’ like this? Guess it’s cause they’re soooo cute no matter what happens!! But I don’t think they realize we LOVE them when they do things like this.

Good question, new commenter! (Welcome to the site, by the way) We can only hope that people who play pug dress-up give lots of hugs afterwards as a reward.

Whoa! A Sister Mary Elephant reference?!?! NOMTOM, are you, uh, older than I imagined you to be, or simply precocious?

I’ll just say that “Sister Mary Elephant” was big when I was in high school.

        You old fogie, you! 😀

Just because you slap some ears on someone doesn’t make them a bunny. Only bunnies can be properly disapproving.

And I must say, living in PA this wee is the state farm show. It is televised on the state public affairs channel. I have seen rabbit showmanship, rabbit hopping contests, rabbit judging, all things rabbit and I WANT ONE NOW! I also want one of those giant horses.

I love the big horses. Big soft noses and huge hairy feet. Real working horses.

I like those giant bunnies too. I guess my motto if go big or get a chihuahua. Which I did. Lol.
