Sad-Eyed Sam Sings the Blues

Now, let me tell you people why I look sad all the time
Mister Trouble come to see me, and he took my final dime
Left my body sick and sufferin’, layin’ helpless on the floor
Now I almost got no reason to keep goin’ on no more.

But I got a girl who love me, she’s the sunshine of my days
I try to keep her happy with my perky puggy ways
That’s why I keep a-movin’, lookin’ forward to when
All my troubles are behind me, and I’m in her arms again.

Thanks, Cheryl (and welcome to the site). Alas, the only musical instrument I can play is the radio.

Ahhh. I too am instrumentally challenged.

        Pugs are so expressive.

“Annnnnd it might be because I mistakenly peed on the piano tuners leg and they put me back in the crate but the ‘girl bent’ sells way more platters. “

That’s nothing short of brilliant. I see a Grammy coming your way.

Didn’t have my reading glasses on yet and I read “I see a Granny coming your way,” and I thought, “Wow – that must be metaphoric … ” Or maybe not! Maybe literal! Watch out, NOMTOM, there’s a grandmother sneaking up behind you. It’s one of those horror-movie black-and-white-characters-in-a-colour-film grannies, in a ragged nightgown, stringy salt-and-pepper hair hanging across her face, sinewy arms extended toward you, all papery skin hanging from old bones. No matter how fast you run, she seems to always be closer and closer behind you….calling your name…..

      (it’s where my mind goes …. I can’t help it …..)

Oscar! Smarmy Uncle coming your way. Stringy salt and pepper hair. Sinewy arms….

          Oops couldn’t help myself.

Sam, I thought I told you not to play—

  5. The Commenter Formerly Known as Ricky's Mom January 14, 2016 / 11:06 pm

Rick: You know what I want to hear.

    Sam: [lying] No, I don’t.

Rick: You played it for her, you can play it for me!

    Sam: [lying] Well, I don’t think I can remember…

Rick: If she can stand it, I can! Play it!
