Memories of Moose

Sender-inner Win H. has a touching story to share: “This was Moose – we raised him from one day old because he had a cleft palate, and the breeder brought him to the animal hospital where my wife worked to put him to sleep (because he would choke when he tried to nurse). She fed him with a tube until he was eight weeks old and old enough to have surgery. He passed away two years ago, and we’ll always miss him.”

Moose was adorable and a lucky little guy to find hoomins who loved and cared for him! Any pets in your lives now?

I’m sorry for your lost. Every time I’ve lost a pet I say never again but it never last long because I can’t imagine life without a pet (or five at the moment).

Thanks everyone for your nice notes. Moose had twelve happy years. After he passed we got a lab mix from a shelter, and then a second dog later (we basically always have two). And thanks NTMTOM for posting, and for creating this badly needed site! (you just earned a donation once I get someplace with secure WiFi!)

Oh, I’m happy to hear that! Reading the posted information, it wasn’t clear how long a life he had, so I was really a wreck of emotions! ^o^

Twelve years of looking at that adorable face? How are you still breathing? I would have succumbed to “CO” (and we all know what THAT stands for!) long ago.

Kudos to you for giving the wonderfully-named Moose a great life, and for continuing to help the critters in need.

    RESCUES ROCK!
