I have the flu, so oatmeal and Robitussin. Mmmm…
Still I shall go out and run an errand today because I am out of kitty litter. 😀

Rest as much as possible is pretty much all you can do. Get well soon.

Nightowl I have a sinus infection horror story in my history.

That link is right on about sinus infections and totally funny.

Mine was always, Why are my teeth throbbing when I bend to pick something up off the floor?

Reminds me of my Minkette. She used to sit right next to my plate, waiting for me to cut the desired protein into appropriate-sized pieces and deliver them to her mouth. If I wasn’t fast enough, she would take matters into her own paws.

The ushe: a cuppa joe and a bowl o’ granola.

  4. birdcage January 30, 2016 / 10:49 am

My breakfast was a bagel thin with some scrambled egg and a banana. The parrot always expects to share. Weekend breakfast sharing is a tradition. Although he prefers earl grey tea and today I had a coffee so he wasn’t pleased when he investigated my mug.

    • Deb January 30, 2016 / 12:05 pm

Ah the distinguished palate of a parrot.

    • Saffron January 30, 2016 / 3:10 pm

Is your parrot’s name Capt. Picard? 😀

      • birdcage January 30, 2016 / 4:23 pm

Merlin prefers tea, earl grey, luke warm.

        ROFLOL.

    broccoli & rice krispy treat
separately of course – together would be weird, or possibly amazing…

Got up and had some toast with honey, back is better so heading out to do some grocery shopping because we are out of everything.

    • Haha January 30, 2016 / 8:28 pm

      Yay for better backs!

Hard boiled egg and a piece of whole grain toast with natural (no sugar added) peanut butter. I’m trying to come up with healthy breakfasts that will keep me full until lunch so I won’t be tempted to snack. The kicker is finding something I can make quickly ’cause I’m too lazy to get up earlier on work days. 😛

    • Elaine C Williamson January 30, 2016 / 1:07 pm

That sounds like my breakfast although the toast is gluten-free.

      • SoccerSue January 30, 2016 / 2:47 pm

I have a hard time eating hard boiled eggs in the morning (or any time, really- they kinda gross me out) but since I didn’t have to work today I had time to get hungry enough that by the time I ate it, it didn’t matter. 😛

I’ve recently discovered steel-cut oatmeal. With some chopped up apple and raisins added, and just a touch of honey to sweeten it. Yum!

        • Phred's Mom January 30, 2016 / 4:02 pm

Steel-cut is how it’s done in Britain, none
of the ooshy-gooshy glop that we’re used
to in the colonies. It’s the best.

    Coffee and leftover garlic knots.
Dorothy the cat is the first cat I know who has absolutely zero interest in any people food. Zero. Bucky the dog makes up for that oversight.

    • allein January 30, 2016 / 12:30 pm

Mine will play with people food but they rarely eat it.

Pea soccer was a favorite game when they were little.

      • Faye January 30, 2016 / 6:49 pm

        Lol. That sounds like fun!!

  9. Smartypants January 30, 2016 / 12:56 pm

Tangerine, gluten-free waffles and a yogurt here.

Glad your back is feeling better, Gigi! Sending healthy vibes to Saffron.

Coffee, waffle with almond butter, 1 soy sausage with melted cheese, and strawberries with whip cream because they were obviously picked too soon and were bitter.
Kitty required cheese and whip cream tax.

  11. murkle46 January 30, 2016 / 4:19 pm

    Bourbon and Ny-Quil

    • 6rabbits January 30, 2016 / 4:49 pm

      ?

  12. 6rabbits January 30, 2016 / 4:46 pm

Cinnamon oatmeal with granny smith apple pieces in it, Donut House Chocolate Glazed Donut coffee, and red grapefruit. The bunnies got pear pieces and Oxbow Timothy Hay Pellets. Theo sometimes stalks me to see if I’ll toss him anything else–he lives in hope!

Might as well answer my own question: Bagel with cream cheese, and later I visited a farmer’s market to buy a Bavarian pretzel from a vendor. The pretzel with mustard has become a Saturday ritual since this vendor became a regular at the market.

  14. Deb January 30, 2016 / 5:00 pm

Scrambled eggs, chicken sausage and a self-made cappuccino.

  15. fkaWaldenPond January 30, 2016 / 10:19 pm

    Humble Pie
