Toucans Play at That Game

I’m not sure if this is an emerging trend, but there are people out there with pet toucans who behave just like lap dogs (the toucans, not the people). Andrew Y. found this first one…

… and here’s another! I guess two toucan better than one toucan can*.

Ripley’s happy face in the first video is enchanting! I’d never thought about cuddling a toucan before, and now it’s all I want to do.

Is that a toucan in your lap or are you just happy to see me?

That is the question! (And this looks like it’s your first comment, so welcome to the comments section!)

Whether ’tis nobler in the lap to cuddle
with coos and kisses such outrageous cuteness
Or take unto mine arms that feath’red schnozzle
        And snorgle it silly
        For’ver

D’awwwww!!!! Cuddly boids!!!! (My parrot loves to hang out but doesn’t like to be petted or to be cuddled. No lap parrots in my house!)

Interesting fact: Stroking some boids down the back (the way you pet a dog) is a sure-fire way to turn them into hormonal little monsters who just want to mate with you.

      I’ll take whatever I can get. ?

        Faye, I nearly snorted my
        coffee across the room!
        Personally, I’d prefer a
        mammal myself. but,
        what the hey.

Wait till your my age and single. (just kidding)

I could just see myself trapped alone in my apartment with a hormonal parrot.

I would do whatever gets them to make that rapid noise. Is that equivalent to a Toucan purring? Exquisite creatures.
