Okay, the parrot is funny, but the violinist is AMAZING! Oh, what I would have given to be able to play my violin that well back in my younger days when I was a 100% mediocre violinist. Sigh…..The harmonics octaves she did at the end? So difficult I cannot even BEGIN to describe it!

I stopped cos the screeching parrot annoyed me, but listened to the whole piece after reading your comment. Totally awesome violinist–all of the last 30 seconds seemed incredibly complex to me!

😀 That monkey from yesterday would be pleased with the 75% more screeching evident here.

Thank you! I was wondering what piece it was. Other than something I never, on my best day, could have even dreamed of playing.

As a parrot owner AND a violinist, I can relate to this post. I am no where near as talented on my fiddle as this lovely musician, however. And my boid doesn’t just sit nicely on my head to “sing along” – instead he grabs at my bow or lands on my bowing hand and goes for a see-saw ride. Or bites me to get me to stop playing and give him more attention. I can’t really have my bird cage unlocked when I’m playing an instrument because Merlin is too disruptive. So no funny violin videos of me and Merlin are forthcoming.

My bun tries to jerk the ipad out of my hands!

MicroSOFT bunny does not appreciate Apple products?

Theo Bunny does not appreciate attention being given to anything but HIM…I’ve had a couple books torn out of my hands, too! Bunnies can be very demanding of their slaves!?

My parrot hates all of my mobile devices: work phone, personal ipad etc. All of them get grabbed out of my hands, too!!!

Here’s a link to the 3 young ladies who got together in college playing, ‘These Boots Are Made For Walking’. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqyuXXOTxP0. Doesn’t look like you can just click on it to activate but you can copy it into your browser to view.

That was cute! Loved it when the parrot laughed! The violinist seemed to enjoy it, too!

I was okay until the parrot laughed, and then I lost it. I am so impressed that she did not try to wave the bird away.

Such a talented young lady! I love how this whole scenario seems to be old hat between human and bird! ☺
