When baby elephant Moyo was swept away from his family by a raging river, he was rescued by Roxy Danckwerts, whose Wild Is Life sanctuary in Zimbabwe has been caring for animals for 20 years. Moyo fell in love with Roxy and followed her everywhere, but as Mr. Snuffleupagus grew, he became Mr. Walkalloverus, not to mention Mr. Peeinfrontofus. Put on your waders and press play, kids.

OK, so an elephant would not be a good pet for a one-bedroom apartment in midtown Manhattan? Drat!
What’s she going to do when he’s full grown and still wants to come in the house?
I will never complain about cleaning up my cats little hair balls messes again!
I was thinking the same thing!
Such a cute elephant >:3
That video ended about 57 minutes too soon for me.
I know–I could watch this household all day! No wonder Moyo fell in love with this hoomin. And it seems to be mutual.
Nice lady. Adorable elephant. But… He needs to be outside with other elephants at a dedicated elephant sanctuary. He’s not learning his native language or culture. Nope. She is well meaning but doing him the disservice of treating him like a pet. When he gets bigger he will be a danger to other humans and himself. He will have to undergo a separation from her at some point. The longer she delays the more heart wrenching it will be for HIM!!
My thoughts exactly.
Cute…but not cute..
Ditto, indeed.
He should have been
an outdoor heffalump
from the start. Probably
will not end well.
You can already see she has trouble controlling him. He gets into everything and it takes her a few tries to herd him out the door.
Agreed. Especially as a male, he needs older males around him when he hits puberty.
Apparently some of the elephant sanctuaries had herds of raging hormonal teenage orphans killing other animals and charging humans. They were literally ‘wilding’ and were in danger of being put down, it was so bad.
So they imported male elephant bulls from Kruger. Just the pheromones and roaring did the trick and they resorted to well behaved boys.
Yes. He should be throwing clumps of sedge and fallen branches instead of spoons.
I haz a deep sadz seeing his predicament. ?????
Can we talk about the elephant in the room?
😀
Immediately thought of this trailer, we need to address the elephant in the room:
“Yeah, the weee is quite big to clean…”
Quote of the year! Moyo…you naughty little spoon stealing heffalump.
“You can bring your spoon.” I don’t know why, but that was my favorite part.
