A Five-Star Recovery

Our favorite seafood connoisseur has a new name, a new home, and all the seafood she can eat. Marina, the hungry sea lion pup who spent the night in a San Diego seafood restaurant, was rescued by SeaWorld San Diego and has already gained four pounds. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the dehydrated pup is getting fluids, a mixture of fish and vitamins, and medicine for an eye abrasion. She even had a special visitor: The chef of the Marine Room restaurant, where she slept.

I wonder how she found just the right place to crash at the beginning of her rescue. Smelled the fish maybe? The chef knew she was a connoisseur of good dining. Great story and rescue.

Thanks for the follow up. We frequently read stories like this and never know what the outcome was. So happy to know the baby is doing well.

Marina really lucked out when she wound up at the seafood restaurant. Couldn’t have picked a more
apropos location. Good for her; especially when stranded sea lion pups don’t always do that well without their mamas…..

And did everybody notice Marina’s little Valentine’s Day schnozzle? She luvs her some fishies, we loves us all the cuteness, and I love this group of friendly, funny people. Thank you NTMTOM!
