If Only Clippy Had Lived to See This

It looks like you’re gathering paper together. Would you like cuteness? For those of you who still have paper to clip, D-Clips offers a cute alternative to the boring old paper clip, including Kitty, Puppy, Piggy, and Ducky. (click to enlarge)

Certainly a huge improvement over the first attempt at a cute paper clip:

Kitteh would just knock Clippy right off the page and watch him fall to the floor.

I’d forgotten Clippy. Late but not lamented . . .

    • allein February 18, 2016 / 1:53 pm

I used to have mine set to the dog option.

      • Faye February 18, 2016 / 1:59 pm

Do I remember correctly. Did the dog bark?

        • allein February 18, 2016 / 3:01 pm

          I do not recall. Probably.

I had mine set to Albert Einstein. Such a cute little cartoon character.

I turned it off so long ago that I’d forgotten about it and for a second I had no idea what you were talking about, also in French we don’t call it clippy, in fact I don’t think we have a name for it, it’s just “le companion Office”. I had to turn it on again to see which one I have and of course, it’s the cat.

Clippy does not appear on Macs. I remember him from my PC tho. Annoying he was.

    Thanks a lot.

I fell into a Vortex Of Cute Animal Office Supplies on Amazon. It was difficult to extricate myself while resisting my usually itchy clicking finger even though I don’t need any cute office supplies.

The cute kitty sticky notes almost got me.

Wanting is another matter. I want to buy a box of puppahs and a box of kittahs. Then mix them together and shake the box to see how many of them attach to each other.

That would cut into office efficiency. Lol.

I have alligator sticky notes on my desk.

      Mass hysteria!!

Oh gosh. Now I want the Alligators and snakes mix!! I got stuff to do today. Must log out of here NOW!!

        • allein February 18, 2016 / 3:06 pm

          Here he is. 🙂

            Ooo tempting.

Allein, You could draw a snake inside him. The snake could have a smaller animal inside it. What is it exactly you need to do at work today anyway? NTMTOM could write you an official note. 😜

If you saw my artistic abilities, you would retract that statement.

        • allein February 18, 2016 / 5:16 pm

Is it bad that I want some just for the cute little boxes they come in?

    • 6rabbits February 18, 2016 / 7:08 pm

Okay, I also got sucked into the world of cute office supplies! REGULAR office supplies are a weird weakness of mine, so these send me close to the edge. I MAY have to give in on the bunny paper clips, tho. And I am coveting this post-it dispenser…

      • 6rabbits February 18, 2016 / 7:10 pm

        AND this tape dispenser…

      • Faye February 19, 2016 / 1:43 pm

6Rabbits they made that bunny just for you.

    I really thought it was so cute though that, when you were done with your office function and didn’t need him any more, Clippy would jump on his little bike and ride away………;;

‘k, I just accidentally discovered the little popups on the pictures of the paper clips.
    Yer killin’ me, nomtom.

Thanks. If it wasn’t for you I would have missed it!

I think it’s just wise to hover your mouse over everything here, just in case…

That effect is brand new for this blog. Since I had a collection of pictures, I decided to create a gallery, and then I installed this system to display gallery pictures with a popup window.

      • allein February 18, 2016 / 6:49 pm

        I approve. 🙂

Hey, is it possible to subscribe to comments without actually commenting? Cuz, y’know, sometimes I forget to click the box before I post…

        • Not That Mike The Other Mike February 18, 2016 / 7:09 pm

Since you asked, I looked for and installed a system that allows that. You should see some changes in the area of the comments form. I’m still adjusting settings, so you may see changes from time to time.

Awesome! I just tried it on the Biff Ruffman post. (Now watch, no one else will comment on it. 😉 )

      • 6rabbits February 18, 2016 / 7:18 pm

On my ipad I couldn’t get anything at first cos I was holding down too long like I have to do for hovers. But when I just tapped the messages came up! Very amusing, as always!😄

I saw these a few weeks ago and ordered a box of the kitty ones for my daughter. But I haven’t seen them in person. Daughter, bring me one or two when you come visit next month! 😀

Weren’t we promised a paperless society? So who needs paperclips anymore?

    • Faye February 19, 2016 / 1:46 pm

To wrangle our ear buds and charging cords.
