First the smile and then the leetle face!
    A LEETLE FACE!!!

Good thing it is almost the end of the workday here because I am now useless and DED.

And John Hurt moans, “Oh no! Not again!”

    • Saffron March 2, 2016 / 4:41 pm

You have officially WON the internet. 😀

NOMTOM, if every Wednesday had a “critters from Down Under” or “adorable marsupials” vibe to it, it would become my favorite day of the week. I used to long for Wombat Wednesdays on CO.

  4. TinaK March 2, 2016 / 4:41 pm

Peek-a-boo! 🙂 Quokkas and working wombats all on the same day. NTMTOM, you’re KILLING me. For which I thank you most sincerely. Do you think wombats do spreadsheets and data de-duping…?

  5. Faye March 2, 2016 / 4:52 pm

Just maybe the bebe Quokka is wearing an adult Quokka for Halloween? Just sayin’.

    • Julie March 2, 2016 / 4:56 pm

      Ha ha ha!!!!

    • Murray March 2, 2016 / 5:44 pm

Ditto! Like the Bread and Puppet Theater!

    • amyliz March 2, 2016 / 6:23 pm

Yes, I think that is the most likely explanation! And the little cutie in the first picture looks like the happiest creature on the planet!

  6. Mal March 2, 2016 / 4:57 pm

And any minute now, a tiny, adorable Kardashian is going to pop out of the Vuitton bag.

    • Mr. Max March 3, 2016 / 2:27 am

“Adorable” and “Kardashian” should never be used in the same sentence.

      • Alice Shortcake March 3, 2016 / 4:11 am

Very true. I can think of many words that could be used in the same sentence as ‘Kardashian’ but I’m too genteel to utter them.

I can NOT believe I went all the way to Australia and never saw a quokka. Didn’t even know they existed at the time.

Now I have to go back. Sigh.

    • Starfish March 2, 2016 / 8:18 pm

It’s like quokkas just came out of nowhere in the past few years! Where were they before?

      • Not That Mike The Other Mike March 2, 2016 / 8:45 pm

That… is a darned good question. It’s almost as if quokkas just arrived on this planet in the past few years! Wait a minute — maybe they’re invaders from another, cuter world! :O

        • Starfish March 2, 2016 / 9:09 pm

If that’s the case, then I for one welcome our new overlords.

          • Alice Shortcake March 3, 2016 / 4:20 am

The same thing happened with meerkats. Until I saw a BBC documentary about them back in the 90s I’d never heard of them and now they’ve practically taken over the world. Last year’s pantomime at York was…wait for it…”Dick Whittington and His Meerkat”.

It makes you wonder if there are more adorable animals waiting to be offered their own reality TV show and lucrative advertising contracts.

            • Faye March 3, 2016 / 8:37 am

              Naked Mole Rats.

            • Smartypants March 3, 2016 / 8:40 pm

              Maybe those Japanese flying squirrels?

    • Mr. Max March 3, 2016 / 2:29 am

Not a bad fate, Julie. Not a bad fate.

  8. Luv Bunny March 2, 2016 / 6:35 pm

Too much adorable cute today. That bebeh Quokka, did me in. I’m ded and now worthless.

  9. Gigi_the cat lady March 2, 2016 / 6:36 pm

Why does Australia and Japan have all the cute animals, all Canada has are beavers and Bieber. ;D

    • allein March 2, 2016 / 10:56 pm

      Yeah, not cute.

      • Lurkingduck March 2, 2016 / 11:13 pm

        Ew!

      • Faye March 3, 2016 / 12:06 am

Ok. That is so funny. Meme worthy.

Canada might want to work some cute trade deals with Japan. The Beeiver was popular over there.

      • Mr. Max March 3, 2016 / 2:29 am

        NOOOOOO!!!The nightmares! The nightmares!

        • allein March 3, 2016 / 7:16 am

My work here is done. 😉

          • Faye March 3, 2016 / 8:39 am

            Thanks. ?

            • allein March 3, 2016 / 9:03 am

              teehee 😛

Question: if you had to choose between quokkas or wombats, which would you pick?

    • Faye March 2, 2016 / 8:29 pm

That’s some kind of trick question, right?

The moment any one human even thinks about trying to answer that question could begin the extinction of our species. Vast uses of cognitive energy will be diverted from all other human discourse and activity. Whole tetragiga sectors of the interwebs will become clogged with the bits and pixels cascading through NTMTOM blog. Crops will fail, school lunches will remain unpacked, cotton candy will melt in water right in front of astonished raccoon eyes. The dress color question will fade (pun) in comparison.

Hmmm, which would I choose? ??☠???⁉️?

      • Haha March 2, 2016 / 9:38 pm

I choose the Quokkabat. Maybe I choose the Womkka.

          • Haha March 2, 2016 / 10:33 pm

I tried. My dinoputer skills leave me lacking in the big picture attachment abilities. I’ll just go jump around on the trampoline with Rexy.

      • TinaK March 2, 2016 / 9:40 pm

When in doubt, always go with the wombat — if only for the stubbularity/chubbularity factor(s).

        • Haha March 2, 2016 / 10:43 pm

There should be a sci-fi show built upon the stubbularity/chubbularity singularity factor.

      • Gigi_the cat lady March 2, 2016 / 9:40 pm

Which would I choose? Ouch! I feel my brain over heating ….
