I Got the Horse Right Here, He’s Wearing Real Fab Gear

To commemorate the 2016 Cheltenham Festival horse race, British bookmakers William Hill sent racehorse Moorestead off to the tailor for a classic custom-made tweed suit. The suit, requiring over 59 feet of tweed, took four weeks to make. Now Moorestead looks even better than the horse in the grey flannel suit.

    Weirdest Downton Abbey spinoff ever.

        *applause*
I’ve only ever heard of Abyssinian cats.

I got the horse right here. His name is Paul Revere. And here’s a guy that says that the weather’s clear. Can do, can do, this guy says the horse can do. If he says the horse can do, can do, can do.

NTMTOM, thanks (I think) for the nod to Fugue For Tinhorns from Guys & Dolls. Now I’ll have that earworm running a”round” in my head until something else comes along to replace it.

When I saw that on TV this morning I was sure it would end up here.

    P.S. I love Allein’s Downton Abyssinian comment!

Dr. Watson!! Strolling the moors hoping against hope that Sherlock survived the plunge into Reichenbach Falls.

Hoping extra hard, because he needs help solving the mystery of how he became a horse.

        Very tricky that Moriarty.

I don’t know, this makes about as much sense as yarn bombing. (All the while singing…”Can do, can do, this guy says the horse can do…”)

    • Ms Can Opener March 15, 2016 / 3:41 pm

Yarnbombing. Learned something new, Murray. (I’m pickin’ Valentine, ’cause on the morning line A guy has got him figured at five to nine. Has chance, has chance, this guy says the horse has chance. If he says the horse has chance, has chance, has chance.)

Wow, I’m impressed. I love that show but only know Adeline’s Lament. ( in other woids….)

OK, so it’s O dark 30 here in the Land of Lincoln, the Election is over, I went to bed and then woke back up. What do I have???? I Got the Horse Right Here! I will get even with you, NTMTOM, if it’s the last thing I do. This is all your fault.

          • Murray March 16, 2016 / 1:16 pm

I meant Adelaide – silly me.

          • Murray March 16, 2016 / 1:20 pm

That was great fun! Thanks, Ms Can Opener. If you make a sound do cats come running???

            • Ms Can Opener March 16, 2016 / 2:25 pm

Of course. All one has to do is stir in bed and they are right there poking and asking “Is it breakfast time? Come on, we know it is.”

The horse is not right here, it’s now over there. Hopefully it will leave soon. Cross your fingers.
