Most childrenย are afraid of ghosts, but little Ellie here is afraid of goats.

No more goat stories before bedtime, Stef.

I’d say the legs are a close second to the life-of-its-own trunk action.

The baby trunsster running to mama is super cute but can you tell me where is that magical place where you can get that close to a baby elephant?

There’s not even a fence between those people and the baby! I so want to go there!

I’m torn; I want to comfort the baby elephant and pet the baby goat. Am I allowed to do both?

        Drat! Decisions, decisions!

Only if you are also Mr. Fantastic on the side.

Depends if you can rub your tummy and pat your head.

      Nope. Nope. Nope.
I’m with Kar. Mr. McGoatersons just wanted to play and didn’t know baby trunkster would freak.
No creepy scary movies. Humming happy songs to myself.

And then mama lellyphant has a gentle talk with baby to explain things and trunkster and McGoatersons become best friends. Visions of goats happily frolicking with and sproinging off tunksters while they scoot.

On a different subject, we haven’t seen Mr. Max for a while – her are you, Mr. Max, the Pit Bull Rescuer!

Mike, please stop showing clips of animals that are frightened, distressed, or aggressive. That seems to be the utter opposite of what this site is intended to be. Elephants are extremely sensitive creatures, and seeing them frightened is not cute to me, it’s heartbreaking. I’m a subscriber this site, but this clip, along with the aggressive iguana, is getting to be too much. This is not fun.

    • Haha March 25, 2016 / 12:00 am

I’m sorry the clip is seen in a negative light.
I see it as sweet. Having kids of my own, there are times they have been frightened by a bug on the wall. I let them know they are ok, go pick up the bug and put it outside. Just like the bug and my kids, the goat is not going to hurt the baby elephant. The baby just needs some reassurance from mama and baby gets it. It’s a sweet illustration of childlike behavior that ends with mama’s comfort.
I also found it fascinating to learn that a baby elephant could make a sound like that. After I think about it, it makes sense with the vast array of elephant sounds, I just never thought about baby sounds before. Hmmm. Educational.
