Best Not to Ask Where the Bubbles Come From

Shout-out to Gloom Raider for making the tip jar a little less gloomy, thank you! (Not that it was all that gloomy to start with, just to be clear.)

Reader ffleur2 wrote to tell me that there weren’t enough pandas on this site, and by golly, she’s right! Let’s have a look at some buddy-buddy cuddling in China:

A little closer to home, here’s Tian Tian taking a bubble bath at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo:

Okay, what are the requirements for becoming a panda fosterer? Asking for a friend, of course.

I just realized pandas have TAILS!

      An important life lesson! 🙂

The tip jar is gloomy? When you first started this site you shared with us some info about the economics. I certainly do not want to butt into your private business but I very much want to support this site, and I’m sure manyof your other reader/fans want to too, I contributed at the beginning and I do all my Amazon shopping through the your portal but is there some way to share how we can help?

Sorry to alarm you! I was just making a play on words. The tip system is fine, and I couldn’t ask for a more thoughtful group of readers. There’s no need to do anything you’re not already doing.

I panicked. Sorry. The end of the Old Ranch was sudden and heartbreaking. I’m hugely relieved to hear that things are in the ballpark of sustainable.

What Dubravkamcvmd said. Whatever we can do to keep you going, NOMTOM . . .

Tian-Tian looks so…. human, washing her face. Such a beautiful animal. Thanks Mike! I love pandas.

Playing “got your nose” with a baby panda can get a little risky sometime but I would be willing it.

Me too. Where do I sign up?

‘Where the bubbles came from’… *betty rubble giggle*

Thank you for posting Mike. These are such cute videos. Tian Tian probably thinks his bath tub is too small, he can bearly (heh) squeeze his fuzzy butt in there!

    • Murray Callahan April 3, 2016 / 11:25 am

Yes, he has to “pull a Maru” to deal with that little tub.

We’re gonna need a bigger boat.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and
said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I
    had to tell someone!

Poor little might, I hope she can forget about this and learn to marvel at the idea of a creature borrowing a shell to make its home. Maybe you should write a story with her and have her illustrate it!

Poor baby, I hope she gets over her fear.

That’s such a funny, sweet story. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I can’t even imagine calculating the odds of that happening. Ouchies.
