Faye, have you triumphed in your quest for bunny caressing yet?

Sadly, there is a delay… My possible contact bunn rescuer is a very busy accountant and it’s TAX SEASON. No getting around the IRS even when bunnys are involved. I bet there is a tax based on the number of pettinks per bunny, multiplied by the degree of softness of said bunn, divided by the age of the petter (me), minus the travel expenses but not minus the cost of the veggie gift package.

Hey Faye! Do you live anywhere near where your state hosts its state fair? I always plan to go to my state’s fair during the bunny showing days. You can stroll through cage after cage of amazing, well-groomed bunnies! Technically, you’re not supposed to touch them, since they’re all fancified for showing, but I always sneak a few fingers into the cages if the bun is close enough. =D Certainly not as good as a full on bunny cuddle, but for those of us who are bunny deprived, it’s a nice little treat.

Thank you Claire. Tried that. Too far. Sigh.

This bunneh is dapper, messy moustache or not. Appears to be a lionhead mix and I want to run my hands thru its soft fur.

      Soft fur?!

Looks like it’s time for a straw poll…

I wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t a female as they are the nest builders and do carry rather large amounts of hay to their nest box when it’s time. My males usually only have eaten one piece of hay at a time and not carried it around. No, I’ve not had any females that have been mated. Didn’t want to be a breeder. But I have had a couple of females (when it became spring) do a beautiful job of nest building just in case I’d decide to let her mate with one of my 2 males. Didn’t happen!!

Flowerfanatic, that’s material for a romance novel – the Cruel Master thwarting Romance between the star-crossed lovers… the lovelorn Juliets kept away from their Romeos… all slowly going mad from Bunny Spring fever… Aren’t you feeling guilty?
      🙂

My unspayed Holland Lop, Molly, who was bonded to my neutered lop mix, Benji, used to occasionally pull out chest fur and make a birthing nest for the non-existent kits she was going to have! She’d pull out so much fur I’d check to make sure she still had some. Couldn’t even tell she’d pulled any out! She was very possessive of that little nest for about a week and then she’d lose interest. Pretty sure Benji thought she was nuts–he wouldn’t go near the nest. ?????

Ooooooh, I can almost feel that soft floof… that’s a handsome bunneh. I’m with Mariana Paes, nose booping is a must.
