The newest member of the Keystone Resort ski patrol is a fluffy bundle of ear flappage named Scout. “We go to Keystone Resort here in Colorado and have seen Annie & Penny numerous times,” says sender-inner Courtney B., referring to Scout’s older teammates. “Canβt wait to see new li’l Scout out there on the slopes.”

Hmmm. If I just lay down in the snow and yell Help! do you think these pups would come running? If I kept my eyes closed would they try to revive me with licking? I’m trying to plan a vacation at the moment.
I don’t like the cold. I don’t like snow. I don’t ski. I don’t like to travel.
Where’s this place? Can I get there before Scout gets less fuzzy and floppy?
Ha ha ha I am 100% in the same boat!! I would do anything for the doggehs.
I’ve had enough of winter but I would put up with more snow if I could get to play with Scout. And WOW for Penny she is quite the jumper!
I want to click the “UP” button a meeeellion times.
Ear floof! I had a dream last night that Nom Tommers all got together to assemble an animal. We each picked our favourite aspect of cute, and combined them to create perfection. Mine was ear floof!
Ohh! I want to do the nose, a little pink one!
I want to do the soft skin behind the ears / back of the head. My favourite kissing spot.
I know what you mean, Birdcage. Kitties have the same kissable spot. π
And BUNNIES!!!??????
Arggggggggg!!
Oops, sorry. Your day will come, Faye.
?
See, my favorite spot on buns and puppehs–and kittehs, really–is the space between the eye and the ear–esp under floppy ears cos it’s all soft and warm!?
There was a commentor at the old ranch–TracyLee?–who was all about the ears. Scout would have her a puddle of brainless goo!
Yess!! That spot right before the ear was one of my favorite spots to pet on Pablo’s little apple head. π
I wanna add the belleh floof!
What happens if we have a conflict between belly-floof and no belly-floof? Because I am partial to the nearly-hairless short-hair Chihuahua belleh.
So we make two animals!
All right!
I too am an aficionado of the almost hairless yet silky and warm Chihuahua belly.
I was drawn in by the floppy fuzzy earsies.
But as they say you should leave with the one that brung you. And that would be the Chihuahua breed for me.
I need to get another Chi-wow-ie.
In my current stage of life I hope I can squeeze one more Wawa in.
Unfortunately I live alone and I’m not home all day.
That is so frustrating. and doggie daycare or dog walker is so expensive.
Though my parents do live ten minutes away and my mother would love to dog-sit.
Allein!! I was going to ask if there was someone you could make an arrangement with. A senior couple. I saw a story on two neighbor families who shared a dog. One was a family with children the other a senior couple. Dog got good nights and weekend fun with the family and good days walkies and companionship with the couple. GO FOR IT. Your parents could do days, you nights and weekends.
That’s a neat idea. Don’t know about my neighbors, though (I really don’t know them).
My mother would love it. My father would hate it. Kinda like how he hates the cat. Who goes to bed with him every night. π
Lurkingduck, along with the ear floof, the precious ear flappage is a must!!
If I were still able to take long walks, I would love to have a little Scout to cuddle.
I agree. And please call me ‘Duckie’.
What a great line! I can hear it interpreted so many different ways! Seductive, coy, no-nonsense cockney, pleadingly. Mike knows this from theater – you try a line out every which way to get just the right reading. Thanks, Duckie!
When I ask my husband how things are with him, he replies ‘just Duckie’. I take it as a compliment.
The extreme ear flappage has left me speechless…and in a puddle brain goo.
