Hey Laaay-deeeeee!

Oh nice lady with the headphones and the music and the singing like a duck, you dropped your lift pass! So maybe slow down a little you could perhaps, and I will give it back to you and maybe we can also take a picture and I could nibble on you just a little bit, pretty laaaaaaaay-deeeeeee!

She wasn’t wearing her bearachute, Paul P.

Un-Freaking-Believable. This woman was 10 seconds from being mauled. Whoa.

Where’s the Bearachute when you need it!?

Crikey! What happened after she turned the camera off and, presumably, the bear caught up to her, I long to know. Well, maybe I don’t….. (gee, there’s no emoji for “mincemeat”.)

That’s why I only wear headphones at home. You can’t hear cars, bikes or bears!

I always knew snowboarding was dangerous. Now with extra trauma!

  7. Lurkingduck April 12, 2016 / 2:23 pm

    Ducks don’t snowboard!

I bet snowboarder girl was pretty surprised when she looked at the video. Ya think? (I would have fainted dead away!)

    This is cute?

    How is this cute?

That’s a good point, I had thought about placing this in the “That’s Not Cute” category, and now I have.

      • Murray April 12, 2016 / 4:06 pm

Well, I thought the Jerry Lewis imitation/reference was really funny/cute.

          Agreed.

Thanks for that. You’re a good guy, NTMTOM!

Roy Orbearson would’ve sung it, “don’t slide on by…”

Every time the camera panned away from the bear and came back he was closer, she was very lucky the slope got steeper and she gained speed!!

Is this real? Could it be a student film prank sort of thing? Remember that Quebec film student and the hawk snagging the baby?….

    • Smartypants April 12, 2016 / 5:32 pm

I was wondering that too – if it’s a prank, they did a great job by only putting Bear in a few intermittent seconds of the whole video – it would’ve been tempting to have him in for longer sequences just to get the full effect.

    I hate that song too.

She’s younger, more athletic and better looking than me BUT I’m not out in the snow practicing to be bear dinner. I win!

  16. Clairdelune April 12, 2016 / 6:46 pm

Egads. One more reason not to indulge in such “fun”. I know I’m totally out of synch with snow lovers, but that grey sky, desolate white dead landscape, and freezing cold to me are symbols of death – and a BEAR that must have been hungry, judging from his speed … I’ll stick with green trees and sunshine!

    • Faye April 12, 2016 / 11:24 pm

      Snakes! Bees! Mosquitos! Can’t win.
