“(Oh wow, a mud hole! Yanno, I haven’t had a really good mud bath in ages, think I’ll treat myself. Mmm, that’s sooo soothing, just what I needed. Now, what was I doing again?)”
It’s great that everyone seems to be good sports about it, Murray C.

Adorable and courageous little equestrian. How great that she wasn’t upset with her pony.
Since as a kid (and even to a certain extent today) my first instinct would be to do exactly what this pony did, the whole thing makes perfect sense to me. 🙂 Who can resist such a lovely huge puddle/mudhole? (Besides my neatnik sister, that is…)
love that the dog joined in on the action!
This is so fantastic. Everybody having a blast, getting muddy.
This is EXACTLY the sort of thing my pony would have done. They’re evil, but you can’t help loving them.
Judging by little girls reaction to fling herself away from said pony immediately, this is prolly a common occurrence. She knew the roll was next.
The other big clue is that they actually have a name for this: “pony dunked.”
And no saddle. 🙂
Oh did you not want to roll in the puddle? Humans are so strange sometimes.
I am so *wholly impressed* at this little girl’s reaction. Like Laura’s sister, I’m a neatnik and would have absolutely burst into tears had this happened to me when I was little. I like to think my grown-up self would have a good laugh about it but I’d still be cringing about being wet AND dirty. Yuck! 😉
(Welcome, new commenter! Great to have you here!) Yeah, that’s one cool customer, that kid.
No pic,only text.??

Thanks!
I love how, even when we’re expecting to get wet, the first thing we do is gasp, hold our arms out, and look down our fronts.
I was impressed by the fact that the little girl made sure to secure her pony after it got up. Almost every kid I’ve ever known would have freaked and refused to go near it ever again.
If we could ride cats, this is the sort of result we would get.
This whole family, ponies and pup included, is full of win.
