It’s Sheriff Woodsy!

Here comes Sheriff Woodsy, hero of the West
Patrolling the streets and protecting your nest
This fine feathered lawman fills villains with dread
‘Cause he don’t miss a thing with his swivelling head
So if you’re a bad guy, he’s comin’ ta getcha
And you’ll be in his talons ‘fore nightfall, owl betcha.

I don’t know what’s cuter the owl or the toy horse little waggling derrière.

Sheriff Woodsy seems a bit bewildered by the situation but is enjoying the ride. I’d like to know about the other owls on the skateboards with the um, umbrellas protecting them from the sun? I guess there’s no concern that the owls will fly out the door with the seemingly busy foot traffic at the store?Japan is a very strange place.

More than merely strange, Dub-etc. “Weird” was my first
      reaction when the vid began.

Oddly enough, I envy Ron Weasley from Harry Potter right now. He apparently had a tiny owl, small enough to cuddle in one hand. I want a little owl to sit on my shoulder and nibble on my ear.

As long as we’re looking at owls, here’s another cutie that Andrew Y. sent me:

Oh. My. God. I need to go to Japan and visit this owl cafe. This ranks in my top ten of cutest things I have ever seen. I’m done for work today as I’ll probably be watching this video all day. The owl on a horse, the horsey wiggly butt, the owls on skateboards, my mind is blown.

So glad you posted this! I was trying to but my iPad wasn’t able to connect to the Internet – I have a lot of problems with that – pain in the patoot. ( that was tough, trying to say”patoot” without auto
correctedness.) love the horse, the owl, the song and the clip clops.

Does anyone else wonder if the Duck-mobiles would survive a ride by Sheriff Woodsy? They look far too fragile to survive the Sheriff’s manicure.

Only in Japan!!! 😀 Love how the owlet looks so unconcerned riding his horse. Looking so wise and calm. Now I see why the owl is the symbol chosen by Mensa!! 😀

I like the poem best, out of all the goodness here.

It must be a sign of the positive and subversive influence of NTMTOM’s blog on my life, combined with the frequent submissions of Andrew Y. AND the dominance of Japan in the world of CUTE, that besides the joy I derived from viewing the adorable juxtaposition of an owlet riding a mechanical toy wiggle butt pony, I realized that I now consider said juxtaposition as a “new normal”. Of course some human would be doing this with a baby owl. Why wouldn’t they do it and record it and post it. Strange. Not strange at all said my brain. Thank the gods. Rolling on the floor funny and cute. And the anticipation of the comments of other NTMTOMers… I have found my bliss.

I’m a little late to the thread with this, but this situation reminded me of “Marvel the Mustang” commercials from the 60’s.

    • Haha April 20, 2016 / 8:56 am

      ?Thank you, NomTom
      For the earworm?
Sung to the tune of Marvel the Mustang.
I know what I’m going to be humming all day.
And how fun would Marvel be…
      for about 5 minutes.
