Sherlock Bun

Here he is, the world’s greatest detective! Master of disguise, expert forensic chemist, authority on world culture, martial arts professional, multilingual style icon, award-winning ballroom dancer, and three-time yo-yo champion.

Is he at a fashion shoot, or the scene of a crime? When Sherlock Bun is involved, it could be either — or both!

No stodgy Victorian, this Sherlock’s a computer whiz as well! He knows when a picture’s been Photoshopped; he can tell from the pixels and from seeing a few Photoshops in his time.

But in real life, he’s a Holland Lop named PuiPui, and has an adorable Instagram account. Sent in by our own Dr. Watson, Andrew Y.

ADORABLE!! How does one get a bunneh to pose and wear clothes? No way would that work with my Pepper. Again, another good Bunday.

The House Rabbit Society makes you swear by all that’s holy not to dress your rabbit up except for the occasional hat – and, for the MOST part, I get it. But this little guy is so cute – I LOVE the expression on his face looking at the computer!!!!?And the outfit is – well, natty is all I can say.

THAT’s what they consider a priority???

I would insist on spay/neutering, no small cages and don’t chop off the ears with scissors myself but hey, dressing buns must be more hazardous than I realized.

It’s not a priority – when they adopt out a bun they’re already spayed or neutered and cruelty of any kind is cause to refuse adoption or take an animal back. But bunnies are fragile and the contortions of getting them in little outfits can be detrimental. If they squirm or kick they can break their backs. Bunnies are ground dwellers and most often than not don’t even like being picked up – even worse, being put down! I think they probably see dressing bunnies up as exploitative and not in their best interest. Obviously, some bunnies do better with it than others. This little guy is adorable and seems not to mind?

The HRS has never been to a Rabbit/BunFest then. Wall to wall buns in outfits and strollers. Now mine would take my face off before I even got close to them with a dress/outfit/costume. I wonder aloud where all these cooperative buns come from.

I dunno – I haven’t either. My buns wouldn’t allow such liberties, that’s for certain! I’m only reporting’ the facts, nothin’ but the facts. I was doing some research on their site on stasis and came across that little tidbit. I’m really not much for dressing animals up anyway, so it hardly raised an eyebrow.

You should try to check one out sometime. As I said, my girls would never allow it either. But for some reason, every other bunny slave is owned by a rabbit who loves to wear costumes. My one bun would never allow it to be known but she secretly likes to be picked up and held for short periods of time. She melts in and makes soft little “happy” noises in my ear.

I feel the same way about parrots in outfits. The interwebs is full of qte boids in sweateuhs, jaunty parrots wearing outdoor harnesses etc. …. but there would be a bloodletting (mine) if I ever tried to approach His Greenness with a costume or accessory.

I’ve never heard of one in these parts. I picked up my little girl today and she didn’t mind! Tho’ she ran off when I put her down. By the way, love your “handle”?

You should be up close and personal with that little mouth after a bun has eaten parsley – sweet parsley breath!

Pui Pui is an exceedingly patient and accommodating Bun, obviously. Unless he’s been fed tranquilizers.
Cute as can be, but I confess to having some misgivings about the posing process.
