Scritcher or Scritchee?

Once you watch this video, your reaction will be OMG I needΒ to be there right now, but here’s a question: Would you rather be scritching the koala, or be the koala getting scritched?

Thanks to sender-inners Brigita P. and Andrew Y., who also notes that this Koala is named Harry, and lives at Symbio Wildlife Park in New South Wales, Australia.

This woman has the best job in the world.

      Yep, absolutely.

You scritch my belly, I’ll scritch yours.

OMG. I want that wonderful job. I volunteer to provide scritches to any critter that needs one. Sure beats dealing with surly office managers!!! πŸ˜€

As for the male commenters, well, NTMTOM, no doubt there are plenty of volunteers for the job of scritchee…. πŸ˜€

Scritcher, definitely. Remember the video of the guy scritching many capybaras?

Welcome to the site, first-time commenter! Yeah, I’d want to be the scritcher too.

    • Laura April 25, 2016 / 5:28 pm

Capys, koalas, sloths, lemurs — you name it, if it’s cute, I volunteer to be the skritcher! Heck, puppies and kitties are fine, too! I’m an equal opportunity skritcher!

Well, my cat is not a koala, obviously, but he lets me scritch his belly just like this. And he’s a cat, so that’s a big deal and I’m a lucky girl πŸ™‚

    • Clairdelune April 25, 2016 / 4:41 pm

Lucky for sure! My cat invites me to reach out by showing me her belly floof, but when I get in scritching distance, the sharp bits come oout…. sigghhh.

Scritcher definitely! Koalas seems so soft and they smell of my favourite smell, eucalyptus!
I would not like to be the scritchee since I am very ticklish.

    • Murray C. April 25, 2016 / 4:52 pm

ME, too – they always end studies on tickling with the comment that you can’t tickle yourself and I beg to differ! I will enter my application for scritcher. At times it’s as if the koala is an instrument being strummed – “Killing me softly with your song…”

OMG, so cozy and happy! I’m pretty sure this question has no wrong answer.

    Scritcher!
Although, under certain conditions, I MIGHT consider being the scritchee… Depending on who the scritcher is.
    ?☺️

I was thinking the same thing. There’s someone I wouldn’t say no to getting scritches from. πŸ˜‰

I love that when she kissed him he reached up and reciprocated. I want to nuzzle a koala and rub it’s belly.

Scritcher. Definitely the scritcher. That is one happy cola bear (what an old coworker used to call them).

  11. Faye April 25, 2016 / 6:41 pm

I’ll be the scritcher in this life. Then the scritchee in my next life. Win. Win. ?

  12. amyliz April 25, 2016 / 7:17 pm

The scritcher, definitely! Although if say, George Clooney, was the scritcher I might volunteer to be the scritchee#

    • Dana April 25, 2016 / 9:04 pm

Haha! Same here! I could be very happy as a professional koala belly scritcher.

  13. sugitomo April 25, 2016 / 8:37 pm

    Scrticher! No contest.

  14. PaulaO April 25, 2016 / 9:17 pm

Definitely skritcher. I love giving skritches, especially to OMGPONIES!!!11

Her name is Tami Wilson (the video froze for me on this site, so I went to Youtube to view it, and her name was in the description) and if she was the scritcher, I would likely volunteer to be the scritchee. Clairedelune was expecting some … er, um … sexist? male chauvinist pig? … some typically male responses and I don’t think she got one, so here it is.

    • Faye April 26, 2016 / 8:35 am

Hmmm Tami. Might change my mind. ?

    • Smartypants April 26, 2016 / 8:53 am

Meh, George, I’d call it just ‘appreciation’ πŸ˜€

    • Murray C. April 26, 2016 / 9:34 am

She seemed so lovely – I don’t blame you one whit!
