You eat the fuds on the floor and then you curl up in the bowl chair and take a nap.

I guess when there’s no box, you just make do.

FOOD CHAIR!!!!!! OMG, I might be done for the day over here with that bit of cute. That is the proshest kitteh I’ve seen in some time! So FLUFFY

  5. Haha April 27, 2016 / 1:51 pm

No no no! It was an accident! My darned thumb. I didn’t mean to down vote this cutie pie! So sorry!
Here, up vote, up vote, up vote.

    • Julie April 27, 2016 / 1:57 pm

I was befuddled as to why someone would vote this down. This is the cutest thing EVER and really, “food chair” is perfect.

Food Chair and Hamster Dog. Absolute Perfection.

      • Haha April 27, 2016 / 2:04 pm

I bet there is a large percentage of down votes that are a result of scrolling goofs like mine.

        • allein April 27, 2016 / 2:21 pm

That’s quite likely. I know there have been a few “controversial” posts here but for the most part I can’t imagine anyone downvoting much here.

On the Disqus commenting system, if you click the up or down vote on a comment and then click the other, it will remove the first vote and switch it to the second vote. If you vote and then click the same vote again, it will remove your vote. Too bad that doesn’t work here. (I often accidentally vote on a comment that I didn’t intend to, especially on my tablet, but also on my laptop because the track pad is a little oversensitive sometimes. Always glad that I can take them off.)

      I DID wonder, Haha! ?

This is maybe the sweetest post on the site so far – the kitteh’s quietly hopeful demeanor makes NTMTOM ‘s imagining of its thoughts so believable – of course a tiny new kitten could believe that the small bowl of kibble is a food chair, and it’s expression could so easily show a desire to cooperate and learn as in the hover text.

    • Julie April 27, 2016 / 1:55 pm

      Agree!!!

  7. TinaK April 27, 2016 / 2:20 pm

    Dear Kitten..

OMG! Is that mama lying on the floor to the right of the cutie pie?
I can hear her saying : Lord save me child you’re killing me! I’ve done fainted from embarrassment!

  9. Elaine C Williamson April 27, 2016 / 2:26 pm

    He’s a cutie alright!

  10. michael April 27, 2016 / 2:26 pm

Does anyone know what the white fur belongs to?

    • allein April 27, 2016 / 2:45 pm

Looks like another kitty. Mom, perhaps?

  11. beemoused April 27, 2016 / 2:29 pm

    Lethal levels of adorableness!!

  12. Clairdelune April 27, 2016 / 2:50 pm

Come here baby, Mama will show you how it works.

    *scoops furball and runs*

    • 6rabbits April 28, 2016 / 7:27 am

      Hey! No fair!
*trips Clairdelune, catches prosh kitteh in mid-air, runs like the wind*

      • Lurkingduck April 28, 2016 / 11:24 am

        Here we go!

  13. Clairdelune April 27, 2016 / 3:02 pm

The look of utter innocence on that little furry face has the power to melt a heart of stone – so it’s no surprise that it’s melting mine!!

  14. Faye April 27, 2016 / 3:04 pm

Delectable kitty morsel in a bowl! I’m gonna eat that right up with no utensils. What kitty? (burps ponds chest a bit)

  15. Lurkingduck April 27, 2016 / 3:54 pm

It does! It really looks a little concerned that it might be doing something the wrong way.

  16. Kar April 27, 2016 / 10:28 pm

I want to call him Gizmo, that cuteness is too much. Just remember to remove the food chair after midnight.

  17. Lurkingduck April 28, 2016 / 12:07 am

What if we’re all wrong? What if…this is not kitty food, but someone’s cereal bowl? What if kitty is sitting in the cereal bowl to absorb all the milk into her fur, with the intent of slinking off after to clean the milk off? And what if mommy is in on this plan, intending to help with milk cleaning, and is staying close by to make sure no one interrupts the absorption process?
Nononono! Kitten WAY too cute to have such devious plans. But then, we all saw The Mischievous Cat. Maybe this is The Early Years? They do look similar. And maybe I should stop eating chocolate this late in the evening…

Here’s what I want to know. Yes, it’s a very cute photo. I love the kitty, I love what NTMTOM did with it; I think he inferred a perfectly plausible scenario and set of kitty thoughts. I thank those who pointed out the mommy kitty (probably) paws because I missed those the first time. But after all that, I want to know what that object is sitting on the floor to our left. It looks like maybe one of these new-fangled high-tech bathroom scales? Or is it an upside-down serving tray? It’s under the breakfast room table, between all the chair legs; what the heck is it? There’s no object I can think of that belongs down there, on the floor under the table. I feel like an idiot for not recognizing it or being able to reason out what it must be.

    • 6rabbits April 28, 2016 / 7:30 am

Upon enlarging pic, I do believe it’s a scale. Though why it’s THERE particularly, no clue.

      • allein April 28, 2016 / 8:44 am

Maybe they were trying to weigh the kitty?

        • hilz April 28, 2016 / 10:34 am

Impossible! That kitty only weighs air and fluff, which our fancy scales can’t measure. It is only measured in snorgles. That’s about a 4-snorgle kitten right there.

          • allein April 28, 2016 / 10:39 am

            Well, I did say “trying”… 😉

    • Kar April 28, 2016 / 5:19 pm

On the other hand, weighing yourself at the table would cut down on seconds and help with your dieting.

Plus, you can weigh your food right out of that dual door refrigerator too.

    • George Michael Sherry April 29, 2016 / 4:24 am

Thanks for the effort, everyone (especially 6rabbits — great name, especially if you actually own 6 rabbits). I’m glad to know I’m not the only one to whom it’s not obvious.

      • 6rabbits April 29, 2016 / 7:07 am

At the time I created my avatar I DID have 6 rabbits. I now only have one foster rabbit and my own Theo. For a brief period I actually had 9; 8 of my own and one foster. ? I was “the crazy rabbit lady”.???

        • George Michael Sherry April 30, 2016 / 4:02 am

I hope nothing bad happened to the ones you no longer have. I hope they lived long, normal rabbit lives and went across the rainbow bridge when it was their time. And that you figured out something useful to do with the now-empty cages (donate to the rescue for whom you foster, or something). I have a good online friend who had a fire in the same building as her apartment and had to move to a hotel, and she had to give away her menagerie. My heart just broke for her. So I hope it was nothing like that.

          • 6rabbits April 30, 2016 / 8:50 pm

Oh, no! Nothing like THAT! I can’t even imagine having to do that!! I’ve had rabbit companions since 1989. I adopted many from rescues just because I had the space and could afford to give them a good life! When I was younger I had the energy to take care of that many, but over the past few years I haven’t been looking for new buns to adopt as oldtimers passed away. I’ve had some rabbits live to 12 y.o. and one determined bun held on til she turned 13. Average life of my buns is 9. My vet says I must give my buns a very good life that they live so long.? (when I moved recently, I donated all extra cages to a small animal rescue.)
