    That’s some brutal blorp!

  2. Smartypants April 28, 2016 / 9:50 am

OMG – the nomming at the very end! Too squee!

    • Catwhisperer April 28, 2016 / 12:47 pm

      And the teeny TONGUE!

  3. birdcage April 28, 2016 / 10:08 am

Don’t get me wrong: baby seals are adorbs from top to bottom. I would allow myself to be blorped by a baby seal any day, and twice on Sunday.

But seal eyes …. a bit creepy to me. It’s like staring into a black abyss or another dimension. Like if I stare too long, I will lose my soul. Or see God. Or something.

When I was little my eyes were ALL iris, dark and soulless, no whites to be seen. I was indeed a creepy child. I have a picture I can show you, but it might be too scary for this site…

      • fkaWaldenPond April 28, 2016 / 11:55 am

Well nowwww since you put it that way, I want to see your creepy child self. Please do share! 😀

        • Catwhisperer April 28, 2016 / 12:47 pm

          Yes, do.

          • hilz April 28, 2016 / 1:03 pm

Dangit I tried but it’s apparently 63KB and I don’t know how to make it smaller to fit the limit!! Apparently I’m all talk, sowwy 🙁

    • Murray C. April 28, 2016 / 11:31 am

I love those eyes! Not at all creepy to me, just sweet and full of wonder.

    • Kar April 28, 2016 / 5:11 pm

“… he’s got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll’s eyes. When he comes at you, doesn’t seem to be living, until he bites you…”

      • Murray C. April 28, 2016 / 7:25 pm

        ?

      • Murray April 28, 2016 / 10:11 pm

I think it may look that way to you because the whites are so rarely on display. I see them as limpid pools! ?

Where does the group think this was taken? They have both seals and penguins and greenish hillside in the background.

    • birdcage April 28, 2016 / 10:21 am

It’s just off the shores of Ntmtomestan, on the Isle of Qte. You need a special permit to travel there because it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But oh! Tis a magical place.

      • jerzowa April 28, 2016 / 10:33 am

Do I need a visa to get there? And where do I get this special permit? Because I must go there NOW! 🙂

      • debg April 28, 2016 / 10:39 am

Get me a visa too, please!

        Galapagos Islands?

        • allein April 28, 2016 / 10:41 am

I would assume one of the Antarctic islands or thereabouts.

I looked at the video description on youtube, but it doesn’t say. (Then I read the comments. Don’t do that.)

          • Gigi_the cat lady April 28, 2016 / 11:01 am

I sent the video to NTMTOM from Facebook not youtube, so I didn’t see any comments. What’s wrong with the comments on youtube? Don’t tell me someone nuffed about that little darling!

YouTube commenters are renowned for their vulgarity. However, I prefer to embed from YouTube rather than Facebook because FB videos give some readers technical problems.

Somebody insisting that the adult seal off to the left is dead and there’s blood on the guy’s pants…I have no idea where they’re seeing that. Can’t tell if they’re joking or not.

              • Gigi_the cat lady April 28, 2016 / 12:21 pm

The internet brings out the worst in some people, I’m glad the NTMTOMers are not like that!

      • Emmberrann April 28, 2016 / 12:34 pm

I wanna know how you get there… and whether you can get like a permanent residency permit? Need some Nomtomestanian (?) Export snorfings, stat!

    • Kar April 28, 2016 / 5:14 pm

I wanna see a puffin nesting next to a penguin, but that’s me.

  5. Madame X April 28, 2016 / 11:03 am

That’s not a seal: that’s a cat cleverly disguised as a marine mammal!

  6. JenDeyan April 28, 2016 / 11:26 am

How they show such brutality! *hides behind hand* Such violence… What is this world coming to? *peeks through fingers*

  7. Mariana Paes April 28, 2016 / 11:34 am

    the sheer amount of blorpiness!!!!

    • AJ April 28, 2016 / 11:42 am

I agree! My first thought was this is blorpiness to the nth degree, very squee worthy. And that nomming, mmm boots, tasty!

  8. Benvolio April 28, 2016 / 4:10 pm

Awww–it’s just a big, wet, blorpy puppy!

  9. Starfish April 28, 2016 / 4:37 pm

    Love that schnozz!

  10. Faye April 28, 2016 / 5:19 pm

Death by blorp snorfing and nomming. What horrible deed did the guy do to deserve such a cruel sentence? I guess his fate was SEALED once he disrespected the God of cuteness.

NTMTOMistan. I’m moving there via Kittystan if “you know who” gets elected. I hear the catizens of Kittystan are very good at batting you over the border in exchange for some loose nip.

    • 6rabbits April 28, 2016 / 8:05 pm

      Good to know…just in case!

      • Faye April 28, 2016 / 9:14 pm

It doesn’t take a weather person to see which way the wind is blowing. As they say.

    • Lurkingduck April 28, 2016 / 11:06 pm

Blorp snorfing. I have a new favourite term.
Would the acceptable definition involve a chubby baby animal encountering a hooman for the very first time?

  11. MTKees April 28, 2016 / 10:29 pm

Doing a bit of googling, it looks like it might be South Georgia Island; but I’d happily take a trip to NTMTOMistan myself any time.

  12. sugitomo April 29, 2016 / 12:03 am

    Blorpy noms! <3

  13. George Michael Sherry April 29, 2016 / 4:16 am

I understand that people who go on these close-encounter nature tours are under strict orders not to touch the wildlife (the wildlife can touch THEM, but they aren’t supposed to touch back) and I’ve seen several videos like this of such encounters, but here’s what I don’t understand: How do they resist? I wouldn’t be able to resist. I’d pet the baby seal and get hauled off to tourist jail. Or whatever the consequence is. How can they NOT pet?
