Life Is Hard for Emo Husky

Park? There is no park. There is only the fascist sun mocking my pain and the silent tyranny of indifferent trees through which my weeping spirit floats unseen. Leave me here in this coffin of porcelain to drift and to drown in the silent waters of my ennui. For me, there is no park. There is only dark.

Such drama, Megan W.

Huskies are the teenagers of the canine world, overly emotional, talking back and trowing tantrum at the drop of a hat. 😀

Don’t anybody drop any hats!!! You’re likely right, Gigi (if I may call you that) I see a lot and have sent in quite a few huskies behaving loudly.

      Pining for the fjords…

You have to wonder what the other dog is thinking. Probably something like, “Come on ya big baby.”

    • Faye May 13, 2016 / 4:16 pm

Yup! The other dog is so ready for the walk and has probably had to wait out the drama before.

      • Murray May 13, 2016 / 4:59 pm

I thought it was the other dog talking.?

    Aagggg! I did it again
    NO DOWN VOTE!
This time I was even aiming for the up vote, just didn’t reach far enough.
I really like the edit ability for the comments, may I please have an undo for the voting?

This husky’s song is funny and beautiful. If we even say the word walk in front of our dog he goes bonkers and is ready to go instantly. If we need a bit of time to get things ready, we have to discuss going on an ambulatory.
He has guilted people into taking him if they accidentally say the word in front of him. Skillful puppy. 😉

LOL! I saw the down vote and thought, “Who keeps doing that?!” That explains it. They’re not down votes, they’re just frowns that need turning upside down! 🙂

Just someone who tripped. They’ll be fine. 😉

Nobody knows the puddles I’ve seen. Nobody knows but Emo Husky.

I love this video so much.

I’m also reminded of Henri the existentialist cat of video fame.

    • LunaChickFringe May 13, 2016 / 2:57 pm

LOVE LOVE LOVE Henri le chat noir!

      • Murray May 13, 2016 / 4:56 pm

Henri, the Cat With Ennui! A favorite!

I, too, immediately wondered if NTMTOM was channeling Henri. Indifferent trees? Well, yeah, I guess. I mean, how much does a tree care about ANYTHING?

I didn’t even have the volume on and I could tell he letting the world know of his displeasure. Maybe after all that he was just testing the acoustics in the tub??

    • allein May 13, 2016 / 3:33 pm

At one point the hoomin says something about not turning the water on for him. I guess he wanted to go for a swim instead of a walk.

I had a husky mix who would howl when I played the voice-mail on my answering machine. I laughed so hard when I recorded my message people thought I was crying on it. Huskies are so funny.

I know all of us dog lovers secretly wish our dogs could talk. Maybe not the best idea. Sort of barking up the proverbial wrong tree.

Wait! This is a dog who actually wants a bath? Maybe just whining for a drink out of the faucet?

I had a cat who would follow my husband into the shower every morning and wait till he turned on the water. (I took baths at night, so it was just a thing between the two of them). She would bat at the running water until it started to touch her toes and then jump out. One morning my husband was staying home sick and skipped the shower. She cried and cried in the tub until I went through the ritual with her– water on with a gentle stream until she hopped out. I wonder if this husky was deprived of a similar ritual.

My boy will get in the tub after someone takes a shower and play with the water drops left behind. Sometimes we’d turn on the faucet and he would try to catch the water before it went down the drain, but if you closed the drain he’d back up when the water started to come up around his feet and then jump out when he realized it wasn’t disappearing anymore. His sister would sometimes sit up on the side of the tub and watch, but no way was she getting near that wet stuff! I don’t think he plays that particular game anymore, but I can still expect him to run in and hop in the tub after I get out of the shower when I stay over (my parents use the other bathroom with a stall shower; not sure if he does it in there, too).

      That’s adorable – you’re a good cat parent! 🙂

AB my cat does the exact same thing with me every day.

Reminds me of Blaze who “loves” his kennel:

Another gut buster. What IS it about huskies.

“For me, there is no park. There is only dark.”

    That is so teenage angst.

Oh and don’t forget Mishka the talking Husky! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EqXz47OPWo

In the case of Bathtub Husky here he might find the porcelain nice and cool so why go out for a walk?
