Oh, Go Fly an Octopus

Shout-out to Maria for using the tip jar; thank you! Now, a video sent by Ginette C. of a pair of stunning kites flying at Marina Barrage in Singapore. According to The Straits Times, it took six people to get the kite airborne when it flew May 15.

Stunning, in a somewhat creepy way.

Agree with the creepy vibe.*shudder* I like the squid better.

Is it just that I can’t count, or does that octopus only have seven legs?

And I like the squid in the background, too! Even if it’s not doing very much, it’s still a brilliant idea.

If someone had a sperm whale kite they could battle the squid! That would be cool!

These don’t LOOK like kites to me!!! It’s an alien conspiracy!! THEY ARE HERE!!!
THIS IS THE WAR OF THE WORLDS!!! CALL THE U.N. !! And stay away from the tentacles.

At least put out a call to Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde. He might be peckish.

Glad I’m not the only one who got a War of the Worlds vibe from this! 😀

Soothing, but where is the person holding it?

    • George Michael Sherry May 26, 2016 / 3:59 am

I’m glad someone else wondered about that. Six people, one person, some number of people. Where are they? There’s not a hill; they’re not concealed by a slope. I don’t see the string, either, but that might be too thin to show. Did they stake them to the ground once they were aloft? Invisible string, invisible stake?

    • Smartypants May 26, 2016 / 6:02 am

Agree, I was wondering that too. It just supports the theory that the ‘kite’ thing is a ruse, they’re really…aliens! 😀
