I love the laugh at the end.

    Cannot be unseen.

Naked Chinese Crested. But that doesn’t make it less adorably funny.

Man I could use a good backscratch like that. But with my clothes on.

Love that she got the giggles at the end!!!

Pup shaking his booty was unexpected.

…and as I’d hoped, it links to one of my favorite archived NTMTOMs, “We need to talk about Carl”…I know my weekend got better!

    Pup at the end:

“These people are nuts! I’m outta here!”

I got a good laugh too but maybe not for all the cute reasons. You can’t unsee this. But the main thing is that Grandma Tillie got a kick out of doing this, no matter how silly the dog, Naked Nathan looks and dances.

Hairless dogs and cats usually look a little skeevy to me, but Naked Nathan is absolutely adorable, and I love Grandma Tillie’s laughter. And they did it for a rescue organization! Check out http://www.baldisbeautifuldogrescue.org and their lovely mission statement.

Yes, you can tell she is a kind person and her pets are well-loved!

Fur does hide a lot of details.

        • Murray June 5, 2016 / 8:34 pm

          THAT’s funny!

I love those pix, especially the second one – those nekkid alien cats have completely won me over. I bet they are velvety to the touch.

I’ve never petted one, but I have petted a Chinese Crested. They feel kinda weird. But in a good way. ๐Ÿ˜›

My Tinker just had a mastectomy, and her shaved belly is the bomb. I love me some shaved belly rubs – softer than a baby’s behind.

          • allein June 5, 2016 / 9:26 pm

I miss Pablo’s nearly-bare belly. There was also the spots just in front of the ears where the fur was thinner. I loved to rub those spots.

            • Laura June 5, 2016 / 9:31 pm

Melody’s fur is very thin in spots, and apparently because she’s from Ireland, it’s shorter than most greyhound’s fir, so she’s sleeker and in some places so unbelievably soft. Especially her cheeks and just between her front legs. It almost feels like there’s no fur there at all. And what I really love about that is that when I rub her there, she stays standing, but her eyes close halfway and her tail goes completely limp as she blisses out. Apparently it feels as good to her as it does to me!

              • allein June 5, 2016 / 9:51 pm

Pablo used to do that, too. He loved belly rubs but he wouldn’t lie on his back (if you flipped him over and held him he would go all stiff and all wide-eyed and then flip over as soon as you loosened your grip), but he would stand and arch his back up a bit so you could get your hand under him.

Yes. The almost naked chihuahua belly. I miss that. Inside back of the thighsicles. Soft.

      And that’s funny, too!๐Ÿ˜

Those other dogs look so unimpressed.

“You know he gets that from your side of the family…”

    • Faye June 5, 2016 / 8:56 pm

      He was adopted.

  12. Faye June 5, 2016 / 9:05 pm

Reminds me of Peter Allen singing and dancing to I Go To Rio.

    • Kar June 6, 2016 / 2:44 pm

Wow, that was pulled from a dark corner of my mind.

      • Faye June 6, 2016 / 3:33 pm

Yes. Me too. Kinda astonished myself.

Maybe I’m weird, but I found the naked doggie dance disturbing. Poor baby, trying so hard to please. I did not know there were hairless dogs, I certainly prefer the furry kind, and that goes for cats also. I’d be always scared of hurting their naked skin. Besides, how can one scratch the doggie or kitty behind hairless ears?

    • Ricky's Mom June 6, 2016 / 9:11 am

I think he was really just scratching his back. I’m with you, on an aesthetic level I find the hairless breeds less pleasing, but when you look in their eyes, you see the same loving critters as the fuzzy and the fluffy ones.

My understanding is that they do require some special care, including sunscreen and care in washing, and so forth. But in the sub-thread up above, it seems that many hairless pets like rubs and gentle scritches.

I guess it just takes getting used to! It’s the first time I’ve really found a naked dog cute, so I look at it as the expansion of my heart. ๐Ÿ™‚

Huzzah! At last, Naked Nathan is on NTMTOM. I sent in several of his surreal vids to Cute Overload but he was never featured. There must be something about the texture of Nathan’s green chair that stimulates his Terpsichorean tendancies because he doesn’t seem to dance anywhere else.

    • Ricky's Mom June 6, 2016 / 10:27 am

It does seem to be his favorite, but I checked out his other videos, and he can be seen dancing on other chairs, too. Even a sofa, with his back-up group. ๐Ÿ™‚
