If it doesn’t shed, put me down for a pair.

    • allein June 28, 2016 / 1:38 pm

My short-haired Chihuahua shedded like crazy…I don’t know where it all came from.

I even found one of his hairs embedded in my work chair (where he had never been) months after he died. 🙂

      • Susan June 28, 2016 / 2:54 pm

I had two (I’m down to one) very fluffy Aussies and there is dog hair everywhere I have ever been. My work chair is covered and I don’t bring them to work – although I could. I sometimes bring my boyfriend’s dog to my office because he smaller and doesn’t drive everybody crazy. The Aussies went straight to upper management when they came in – people got a little tired of being randomly grouped together just because they were walking across the office.

        • Julie June 28, 2016 / 7:21 pm

Wait – are you saying that the Aussies would herd your co-workers?!?! That is AWESOME!!

      • Julie June 28, 2016 / 7:20 pm

If I found a pup hair after one passed, I would cry, cry, cry.

I’m glad you can post a smiley face emoji. 🙂

        • allein June 28, 2016 / 7:34 pm

It’s been 7+ years, now. I was sad when I found it. But I also thought it was kinda funny. I’m thinking it was already in there from my clothes and worked its way back out.

          • Julie June 28, 2016 / 10:00 pm

I think the short hair chihuahua fur is kinda wiry, which makes it so much harder to clean up than long hair chihuahua fur which is silky. I think the absolute worst is trying to get it out of the car upholstery.

I think your pup is communicating with you from beyond. I hope my dogs stalk me from the netherworld.

            • allein June 28, 2016 / 10:16 pm

I would be perfectly fine with a ghost Pablo.

              • 6rabbits June 28, 2016 / 10:39 pm

Oh! He is sooo adorable! I would kees the smooth forehead and nuzzle the prosh earsies!

                • allein June 28, 2016 / 10:57 pm

                  I did. A lot.

                  He even made CO.

                  • 6rabbits June 29, 2016 / 12:16 am

Aw…that’s awesome he was on CO! Very worthy of the honor he is!?

                    • allein June 29, 2016 / 12:20 am

JThat’s the bag we used to sneak him in and out of my ex’s apartment (no pets allowed). We called it his doggy bag.

I actually sent that pic for Nosevember but they saved it for Christmas.

                    • 6rabbits June 29, 2016 / 12:41 am

I used to sneak my first rabbit, a mini-lop, out of my apartment in a very large straw beach bag when I did laundry at my parents’. (It didn’t say no pets in the lease, but my land lady was evil and I didn’t want her finding out…just in case!)

                  • Julie June 29, 2016 / 12:27 am

Pablo in the bag is hilarious!!

              • Julie June 29, 2016 / 12:26 am

Pablo is such a cutie!! Those ears!

                • allein June 29, 2016 / 8:33 am

Pablo is the reason I initially got on Facebook in 2009, so I could get pictures from my ex after he died (because he had put all his pictures in a FB album). I made that one my profile pic and I have never changed it. I was always playing with the ears.

Also loved the little stripe down his forehead. The tip of his tail was also white; looked like he dipped it in paint to do the stripe on his head. 😉

                  • Murray C. June 29, 2016 / 2:58 pm

Awww, so touching. I’ve lost a lot of rabbits over the years and it’s always so difficult but I would never consider NOT having them. always two – had three for a time, worked out pretty well, but two is the best – for me, anyway. MY husband gave me a little silver box with a rabbit with wings on it and inside he put the fur from our recently deceased bunny (at the time), Edward. Still gets me teary.

                    • allein June 29, 2016 / 3:01 pm

                      Aw, that’s sweet.

I still have his sweater and bowls (at my parents’ house somewhere). Probably his collar and leash, too.

                    • Murray C. June 29, 2016 / 3:22 pm

As beaver tail go I think I’ll take this one ?

    • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 12:59 pm

As the two Wild and Crazy Guys in SNL would say – “What the Hell IS that!????”

      • Gigi_the cat lady June 28, 2016 / 1:05 pm

That’s a BeaverTail, my friend. It’s fried dough and you can have pretty much any topping you want, this one is with Nutella and powdered sugar. They are yummy, and definitely not good for your waist. 😀

        • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 1:48 pm

Whoa – a confectionary pizza. Scary thought.

          • Duckie June 28, 2016 / 8:28 pm

            Not scary; delicious. ?

            • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 8:54 pm

Yes, delicious. And consequently scary. Perhaps a little like funnel cake?

          • allein June 28, 2016 / 9:21 pm

There’s a vegan bakery near me that makes an “apple pie pizza.” It’s basically a pizza-sized apple tart drizzled with sugar icing. Sometimes I am tempted to get one for myself (I have not actually done it…yet). So yummy.

      • Not That Mike The Other Mike June 28, 2016 / 1:10 pm

NBC is notorious for pulling SNL clips from YouTube, so this fragment is all I can find, but this was a funny skit:

        • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 1:44 pm

Thanks, Mike. I’m not sure why that’s so hilarious but I certainly find it to be.

I have a story for you – somewhat related. Many (to the 10th) years ago I was traveling with a friend cross country singing together. We were in Chicago and met up with a duo my partner knew who had been asked to Second City the next day to sing for a benefit for local teachers. They offered to give us a spot – each performer was allowed three songs and they let us take one and we were a hit. This guy came up to as afterward – tiny guy – my friend was 4’11” and I think he was enamored. Anyway, he liked what we did (“I dug your act.”) and offered us tickets to the show, in which he would be performing, that night. That was pretty much the end of it – until YEARS went by – about 4? And I was with a group of friends watching the very first SNL broadcast. There was this guy on it who seemed so familiar! and I kept wondering why – until the end and the credits ran and the fellow from Second City and now on SNL was none other than John Belushi. My brush with greatness!?

          • Not That Mike The Other Mike June 28, 2016 / 1:58 pm

Whoa! I have a brush with Belushi story also, though not as cool as yours. I was an extra in Steven Spielberg’s comedy “1941,” playing an Army soldier in a nightclub sequence and exterior scenes on the Columbia Pictures backlot. Belushi was in the cast and I saw him talking with his guests in between shots. I also chatted with Joe Flaherty of SCTV fame, and saw Robin Williams, who was wandering around.

            • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 3:04 pm

Cool! And I loved SCTV – Joe ‘Flaherty was a hoot (veddy, veddy scadey” ) and Robin Williams – wow. A celebrity trifecta!

              • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 4:39 pm

PS was there footage that you were in in the final cut? I hope you didn’t end up on the cutting room floor!?

                • Not That Mike The Other Mike June 28, 2016 / 4:44 pm

As an extra, I was part of huge crowd scenes, but I did get a split-second moment as part of a smaller group where I can actually be seen. Haven’t looked at it in decades, easily.

                  • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 5:25 pm

That’s great! I’ll bet it was fun. I had a friend who was John Carradine’s stand in for The Woody Guthrie movie MANY years ago (everything in my life was MANY years ago!) and he pretty much said movie making is like war – boredom and then furious activity. But a great experience anyway. AND you’re IMMORTALIZED!

            • AuntieM1996 June 28, 2016 / 3:06 pm

Oh MAN! You were in 1941? One of my all-time favorite works by John Williams is in that movie. I hope this embed works….

              • Not That Mike The Other Mike June 28, 2016 / 3:10 pm

Fixed your embed. Yeah, that’s a great march. Williams is amazing here in the way he can weave familiar motifs into a piece of music that is entirely original, yet sounds like you’ve been hearing it for years.

          • allein June 28, 2016 / 2:09 pm

“Many (to the 10th) years ago” … “until YEARS went by – about 4”

I was born ten days before SNL premiered. Your phrasing is making me feel old…not sure how old that makes you! 😛

            • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 3:00 pm

Old enough to be your Mom and then some!?

              • allein June 28, 2016 / 3:02 pm

                🙂

                • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 3:06 pm

Not to my knowledge.? I have no recollection of having given birth, anyway. Tho’ some artwork has felt that way, I’d have to say.

                  • allein June 28, 2016 / 7:38 pm

That’s okay. My mom and I look too much alike to question my maternal lineage.

                  • SAA1451 June 28, 2016 / 10:35 pm

                    Murray,
You forgot to add “but the (insert decade here)’s were a crazy time” 😉

                    • allein June 28, 2016 / 10:58 pm

                      Ha!

                    • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 11:43 pm

                      ?

        • allein June 28, 2016 / 7:37 pm

Thanks for posting that. On another site (which is totally unrelated to The Cute, but somehow the subject of possums came up), I posted this picture,

and the person it was in reply to came back with “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT????” So I had the perfect response, thanks to you.
          🙂

          • 6rabbits June 28, 2016 / 10:49 pm

It IS a baby opossum, correct? He really is not cute…but yet, he is.

            • allein June 28, 2016 / 10:58 pm

Yes, it is. And I think he’s adorable. 😛

              • Murray C. June 28, 2016 / 11:35 pm

I think this little guy is so kissable and huggable – I had saved his image into my iPhoto a while back so that I could gaze at his dear face whenever I liked. Truth to tell, I save lots of images of cuties for that reason.?

                • allein June 29, 2016 / 12:08 am

He’s on my cube wall right above my desk where I can see him…along with this super-happy brushtailed rock wallaby baby.

                  • 6rabbits June 29, 2016 / 12:12 am

Oh, yes! It’s the only decent thing!

In all fairness, chis only yap to let you know you’re neglecting to cuddle them. Mine is always very quiet as long as I do my job and lavish him with attention.

    • Julie June 28, 2016 / 7:26 pm

Mine too! Poncho will make these ridiculous wailing noises if you leave him by himself, even if he is only separated by a doggy gate and can still see you.

      • allein June 28, 2016 / 7:37 pm

I always wanted to set up a camera to see what Pablo actually did when he was home alone.
