November 4, 1723: The men are near mutiny. It has been weeks since the mice ate the last of the cheese, and now the crew have eaten the last of the mice. I really must remember to invest in a compass and some maps for our next voyage. Oh well, live and learn.

Hubby and I had a Captain Jack Sparrow marathon yesterday. This picture puts it all into perspective.
Perhaps he should invest in a GPS?
My father-in-law regularly read to students at the Overbrook School (for the visually
impaired). As he enthusiastically came to the action in a Horatio Hornblower tale,
a favorite, the ships closed on each other , “buns gooming”. The students loved it.
He was prone to Spoonerisms, bless him.
I love Spoonerisms so much.
My husband used to be the fund raiser at Overbook – we live not far from there. What an amazing facility that is.
And I love Spoonerisms.
Dr. Spooner, The Dean of New College, Oxford (and alleged to have been an Albino, my husband, who studied at Oxford) for whom they were named is purported to have said something like “You have deliberately tasted two worms and you must leave by the town drain.”
I loved those Horatio Hornblower books! And the British series was excellent, with Ioan Gryffud (is that how you spell his name?) and Jamie Bamber and the guy who played the Admiral whose name I can’t recall…
Hector Horatio Hornwhiskers is a worthy heir to such greatness (as all cats are, of course)!
So, how can I see the hovers on a tablet?
Depending on your device, you may be able to view hovertext by holding your finger on a picture. This may open a menu of options related to the picture, with the hovertext at the top of the menu.

That needs an “impending doom” tag!?
No wonder they’re near mutiny!
Did they end up at Catalina Island?
😀 (and why the down vote?….*scratching noodle*)
Beets me? ?
I get it! Nicely done!
He shouldn’t have made that right turn at Albuquerque!
My relatives are from the Azores! 🙂 Hornwhisker! Awesome as always, Mike!
I think every cat is a pirate on the inside…this one just dresses the part too.
What a handsome fellow.
