I want this pup! I love this pup. And s/he’s not even blonde. Tho’ I love the charming duo above, too. So many critters. so little time.

I looked at the Daily Puppy a split second before my email dinged with this post. First thing I saw was that smiling face and I had to share. Today is Friday for me, and I have a 4 day weekend so I am in a relatively good mood. Somewhat marred by the fact that I have to reconcile something and I don’t even know where to begin to figure out where the mistake is. There are 238 excel tabs and 25 potential wrong cells in each. But something is off by a small amount. Also the fact that the sink in the kitchen closest to me is broken. On the other hand, I get a little exercise going to the other side of the office to make tea, so there’s that.

I’m partial to brunettes, anyway. I am one! 😉

Me, too – or I used to be, now it’s a case of better living through chemistry.

I have a few strands of tinsel coming in…

My dad says he’s not going white, he’s going back to the blonde he had as a child. 😉

I saw a Papillon puppy in a park yesterday, barking at a squirrel. The squirrel was bigger than the puppy, and just clung to the tree trunk, part way up, looking amusedly at the tiny thing down below.

Oy vey – this is the first time I’ve actually WANTED something to be Photoshopped.

          • Duckie June 30, 2016 / 12:57 pm

            Wrong. Just wrong!

            • Murray C. June 30, 2016 / 4:29 pm

              I hope that’s photo-shopped.

Rats. It’s such a waste of time and money. I mean, there are so many animal charities that could use what it costs to get dogs dolled up like this. I feel that way about certain types of plastic surgery, implants, etc. Does anyone really need to be a quadruple D????? This is the doggie equivalent. (don’t hold back, Mur, I says to myself)

                  • SAA1451 July 1, 2016 / 5:19 pm

Don’t get started on plastic surgery. Some people are very attached to theirs.

                    • Murray C. July 1, 2016 / 5:29 pm

Certain types, I said. Trying to be aware that it’s important psychologically for people to enhance portions of their anatomy. But when implants are bigger than one’s head, I just don’t know.?

          • Joy June 30, 2016 / 1:22 pm

Can’t … there is no topping of this insanity. And why couldn’t they pick just one Sesame Street character? *shakes head and runs away*

          • allein June 30, 2016 / 1:42 pm

I really want to know who’s on the other side.

            • 6rabbits June 30, 2016 / 11:14 pm

From the dark hair fluffed up on doggeh’s back, I think Ernie may be on the other side?

              • allein June 30, 2016 / 11:17 pm

That’s what I was thinking. Especially with the Rubber Ducky tail.

          • Smartypants June 30, 2016 / 4:31 pm

(approaches dog with electric clippers and a bag of Snausages) – “Don’t worry, puppy, I’ll fix it for you.”

          • 6rabbits June 30, 2016 / 6:06 pm

I’m cringing.? Animals are our companions, not an artist’s canvas! I heartily disaprove!

        • Blue Footed Booby December 6, 2016 / 3:14 pm

I had an internet buddy years ago who posted some pictures he took while deployed to Afghanistan. A number of the photos featured a rainbow of chickens. Apparently folks would dunk their chickens in a vat of water and vegetable dye so they could all be kept in a common pen without getting confused as to which belong to who. “The pink ones are Betty’s, and the blue ones belong to Clarence.” It was unclear what happens when/if one of them is sold.

Randomly remembered that and thought I’d share.

          • Emsthemonster December 6, 2016 / 3:38 pm

My mother had an adventurous cat full of hunting spirit some years ago. Unfortunately the primary targets were not mice, but chickens of the neighbours. So every dawn my mother got up, checked on the cat and if she found any survivors, (the cat only wanted to play) she smuggled them back to the neighbour they belonged to. One day a neighbour told me: “it is so interesting, Ems, I have had only white chickens and now there is a red one among them. ” I said something like “that’s probably a communist ” I did not tell her that my mum smuggled the chick back to the wrong place 🙂 Iam not sure said neighbour has unfolded the mystery ever since 🙂

I bet they go through CASES of that at Westminister ever year.

BTW, keep in mind that its illegal to dye live animals different colors. Be it injected food coloring in chicken eggs, accessorizing your pup or camoflauging an elephant as wallpaper.

        • 6rabbits June 30, 2016 / 11:11 pm

It is only illegal to dye a live animal’s fur in Florida, South Carolina and Boulder, CO. The laws in FL and SC stem from the way chicks and bunnies were dyed (to increase sales at Easter) which caused them to have health problems. ?

Dog: “She gets like this every summer…”

    • Faye June 30, 2016 / 9:52 am

      Hahaha So true.

Here’s a story that happened to me 30 years ago. My then boyfriend and I went to pick up my future mother in law’s new pet dog, we knocked on the door of the house and when the women opened the door, this green thing came running full speed at us! I must say I say that I was startled there for a few seconds before I realised she had dyed the poodle neon green!

Will wonders – and human stupidity – never cease.

Kitty, I prefer your natural color…gorgeous!

  5. sugitomo June 30, 2016 / 9:31 pm

It’s like the cat turned into Justin Bieber (only way more cute of course…)

  6. SAA1451 June 30, 2016 / 11:43 pm

It must just be me. To me that poor kitty appears to be attempting an impersonation of a certain political candidate. Not a good look for anyone.
