    The hovertext! πŸ˜€

    I love snakes.

    • Murray C. June 30, 2016 / 4:38 pm

Ditto to both. That Mike draws from so many resources in that brain! You’d better leave it science, NTM!

      • Murray C. June 30, 2016 / 4:45 pm

Tried to edit and I clicked just short of the edit time!

Anyway, what I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted was that the person holding that snake-in-armor seems pretty easy with the situation – and I was musing what the opposite of nonplussed was and, naturally, it would be plussed!

          • Ilonka June 30, 2016 / 5:55 pm

            Love it !!!!!!

          • allein June 30, 2016 / 6:54 pm

That’s great! Gotta share with my word-nerd friends.

            • Catwhisperer July 1, 2016 / 10:58 am

Me too! Thanks, Ilonka. BTW, are you Hungarian? My mom’s name is Ilonka, too.

          • Duckie June 30, 2016 / 8:30 pm

“Bridled passion”? I think NTMTOM has used that phrase a few times.

          • Murray C. June 30, 2016 / 9:10 pm

            Fabulous!?

          • 6rabbits June 30, 2016 / 11:36 pm

That writer has skills!? Weird how so many words have survived in only their negative sense. You never hear of someone being “couth” or full of “ruth”. (And spell check just told me “couth” is not even a word!)

            • Murray C. June 30, 2016 / 11:57 pm

Yeah! You never hear of Post Bellum. Or if someone is tached or gruntled.

          • Faye July 1, 2016 / 12:08 am

Great. Gave me pause a few times.

  2. ^oo^ June 30, 2016 / 1:01 pm

    Snake charming gone wrong.

  3. Julie June 30, 2016 / 1:03 pm

“Stuck in a canon”!!! I love it!!!

  4. Smartypants June 30, 2016 / 1:15 pm

Snake: “I thought this steampunk costume would make me look cool. I didn’t really think it through.”

    • Julie June 30, 2016 / 1:43 pm

He does look like a Steampunk!!!

    • Kar June 30, 2016 / 8:57 pm

I was thinking either Steampunk or an Iron Man cosplay gone terribly terribly wrong!

  5. allein June 30, 2016 / 1:43 pm

“…or are you just happy to see me?”

      ?

  6. amyliz June 30, 2016 / 2:18 pm

What a cool way to clean your flute! Way back when I was in band all I had to clean my flute was this kind of ramrod thing and a cloth!?

  7. Gigi_the cat lady June 30, 2016 / 2:21 pm

A cobra in a clarinet, a python in a piano, a viper in a violin, and they all play for scale.

Whoa! Alright! Lots of good rides today.

    • Faye June 30, 2016 / 5:02 pm

      Ooooo likeie.

  8. Juno June 30, 2016 / 2:52 pm

My first thought was, “I’m glad I’m not a flutist,” but then I imagined how big a snake could come out of the top of a bassoon . . . and now I don’t feel so good.

      • Juno June 30, 2016 / 4:47 pm

        Noo!

  9. Elaine C Williamson June 30, 2016 / 2:58 pm

I want to know how did the snake get in there, and better yet, how will it get out??

    • Not That Mike The Other Mike June 30, 2016 / 3:11 pm

Same way it came in, I’d reckon. That snake looks a bit thick in the middle to get all the way through.

      • fkaWaldenPond June 30, 2016 / 5:32 pm

Speaking of thick in the middle snakes– did I share a few weeks back my pregnant garter snake encounter? I am pretty sure I did.

        • Duckie June 30, 2016 / 8:32 pm

          Remind us! ?

  10. JenDeyan June 30, 2016 / 3:13 pm

Did not know canon was a musical term. I learned something new today.

Also, love the Toy Story reference. ^_^

    • fkaWaldenPond June 30, 2016 / 11:18 pm

Heya Jendeyan, this is the most ‘famous/pop culture’ canon; you will probably recognize it. πŸ™‚

      • allein June 30, 2016 / 11:37 pm

I’ll see you in hell, Pachelbel!

        • fkaWaldenPond June 30, 2016 / 11:50 pm

Bravo!!!!Thank you for this Allein and (I am linking this to my Dad who will not get all the pop music references but will get the gist.) It’s funny as I was that ‘geek’ who asked for a recording of it for my 13th birthday, initially pleasing my Dad but after listening to it non-stop– well, as in all music played repetitively it’s f’n annoying as hell. To this day, when I hear it I smile wistfully and then turn the damn station. Thanks again for this! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

          • allein July 1, 2016 / 12:04 am

            Glad you like it!

The first time I heard this, I laughed when he got to the part about Blues Traveler. My college’s a capella group did a mashup of Hook and Canon in D. As soon as he said HORDE Fest I knew exactly where he was going with it.

        • 6rabbits June 30, 2016 / 11:59 pm

That. Was. HYSTERICAL!!! I laughed too hard.?
Now I’m really awake and I’m supposed to get up early tomorrow…I’ll be snort-laffing in my sleep, Allein.

          • allein July 1, 2016 / 12:07 am

            Sorry! πŸ˜›

If it’s any consolation, it’s midnight and I have to be reasonably presentable by 8 am just in case the water meter people actually show up at the early end of the window (they’re supposed to be here between 8 and 12). And I still have to clear out the closet so they can get to the meter.

            • allein July 1, 2016 / 9:51 am

Guy showed up promptly at 8! I was just about to dry my hair. If he had rung the bell 30 seconds later I wouldn’t have heard him.

        • murkle46 July 1, 2016 / 9:35 am

Glad I took the time to watch that.Unfortunately no snake to watch it with me.

      • 6rabbits June 30, 2016 / 11:49 pm

I love Pachelbel’s Canon! Though most people just recognize it as “wedding music” these days.

        • fkaWaldenPond June 30, 2016 / 11:54 pm

I do too 6Rabbits– BUT– it is over played in my small opinion. *especially as I played it do vinyl skipping scratched death one late summer as a teenager*

Peeps, what is that Handel piece that everyone plays at weddings while they sign the wedding book… ugh, that one, you know?

          • 6rabbits July 1, 2016 / 12:03 am

I agree it’s overused, almost to the point of being clichΓ©.? Some people need to expand their classical horizons!

  11. kodalai June 30, 2016 / 4:50 pm

If that person presses too many keys, that snake will be flat!

    • Emmberrann June 30, 2016 / 6:48 pm

      My thought, bezackly!

  12. Laura June 30, 2016 / 4:54 pm

Is that a snake in your flute or are you herpy to see me?

    • Faye June 30, 2016 / 5:10 pm

      That cracked me up.

      • Murray C. June 30, 2016 / 5:19 pm

        Me, too. Brilliant.

    • allein June 30, 2016 / 5:15 pm

      Okay, you win.

  13. Faye June 30, 2016 / 5:11 pm

I recognize that music: Requiem For A Reptile.

    • Faye June 30, 2016 / 5:19 pm

I’m going to get my snake out and practice some scales!!????

      • Emmberrann June 30, 2016 / 6:50 pm

Better than arpeggios, I am thinkin’!

  14. NathanF June 30, 2016 / 6:55 pm

A tragic case of snake charming gone wrong.

    • Faye June 30, 2016 / 7:09 pm

      Yes!

  15. Faye June 30, 2016 / 7:15 pm

    Full Metal Jacket II.

    Whatever you do, don’t inhale!

Way worse than an ear worm.

The Magic Flute. Ah, not what I was expecting.

    • Faye July 1, 2016 / 9:08 am

      That’s a picture his Grandfather.

      Somebody embed that.

      • allein July 1, 2016 / 9:50 am

        Here ya’ go.

        • Faye July 1, 2016 / 10:09 am
