When 21st-century technology meets 20th-century style, the result is the must-have canine accessory of 1975! Pull that polyester suit out of mothballs, get your bad selves down on the dance floor, and boogie-oogie-oogie with… Disco Dog!

Love it. I’ve always wanted something on that order for making comments in my car. (Probably get me killed – ….. hmmmm, maybe not) Anyway, this is such great idea for doggies in the city, especially the low-slung ones who people might trip over. Adorable pooch – loved how his back legs couldn’t quite keep up with the front ones.
Back in the last century, Games magazine featured a fake ad in most issues. One of them was a device very like this to have on your car so you could send messages to other drivers (turn your lights on, or back off, or…well, you get the message). When I found the ad, I thought it was a great idea. But even with today’s technology, you still can’t–or shouldn’t–do it, unless you’d like some road rage thrown your way.
Oh, yeah. Besides, setting up the message would be akin to texting while driving.
Unless it was voice activated. Push a button on dash, speak message, message appears on sign. I think of this a FEW times a year when someone does something stupid–like turn left on a red arrow, or totally blow thru a
2-way stop and nearly hit me. But usually the drivers I’d like to educate are long gone before I could ever get the message up. And…I would also like to NOT be shot, so there’s that.
Therein lies the difficulty – and probably why gun laws go nowhere in the states – all those other guys have GUNS!
I think I had one but had enough sense not to use it.
I’m from Jersey and I like my windows intact, my bumper on the front of my car and my teeth inside my mouth.
Yay Jersey! 😛
I had a lot of problem watching the video it kept stopping. I had to go to youtube to see it.
Anyway, love the idea, if I had a dog I would get one of those for sure, not only is it fun but it’s great for security on night walkies!
Completely fabulous! Makes me want to get a dog. Also a great ad. Very effective
Dog looks mahvelous!! I would definitely get one for my dog. Techno Doggis!!
I was born in 1975. Sometimes I see pictures from my early childhood and am thankful that I was too young to be responsible for my wardrobe.
AMEN!!? (preteen in ,75–trustme, it was worse!)
I do wonder what some of today’s youth will think seeing pictures of themselves with their derrieres hanging out of their britches. I had heard that the fashion of the baggie pants came from prisons where belts were confiscated, so pants drooped. I heard of at least one clever perp running away from the scene of some skulduggery and his pants falling to his ankles thus rendering his capture easy peasy.
Oh jeez. There are so many guys around me (I’d say “kids” but I’m pretty sure several of them are over 18) who do that. Usually I think “get a belt!” but the last guy I saw (going up the stairs ahead of me with one of my neighbors) was wearing a belt! I really don’t understand how it became cool to look like you never quite learned to dress yourself.
They look like a toddler with a too-full diaper! I went through lots of cable ties with my students, cinching belt loops together. *eye roll*
Oh, yeah.?
Yes, Murray C. It was a “gang fashion” to show solidarity with their “brothers behind bars”.
Rats, I missed the Kickstarter for this, and they’re not for sale elsewhere yet! I wanted to get one for Melody (or maybe Sebastian) for a Halloween costume. Or maybe for both of them! They could have complementary messages on them. 😀
I love how little dogs look so important when they walk. The doxie looks like she has important business to take care of and must hurry to accomplish all her tasks.
? And check out how, early in the video right before the close up of the LED panel, both little back feet leave the ground simultaneously! So darned cute
Cute, warm and keeps your dog visible and safe! Can’t see a downside.? Especially effective to use a black doxie in the ad!
