Our First Time on Grass, Man

“Grass? I’ve never tried that stuff before. I’ve heard it can make me freak out. Are you sure this is safe? All right then, here goes… Whoa, this grass is amazing stuff! I am so high right now!

The little black and white one stole my heart!

I liked the smooth white one best but would happily take any of them home.

True story: To this day, at 50 years of age, I do not walk barefoot on grass because of my insanely ticklish feet.

I’ll be 59 in a week and I have never as far as I can remember, walked barefoot on grass.

Remind me to talk with your kitties about moving your shoes into the middle of yard. We need to force you to enjoy the grass …

No no no no no. It tickles too much! While I’ve been redoing my kitchen, I’ve gotten paint and concrete on the bottoms of my feet, and it’s almost more than I can bear to scrub it off.

You have missed one of humanity’s sweeter delights.
        Get those shoes off maintenant!

Even with shoes I never walk on grass if I can avoid it. I have walked barefoot on sidewalks, on asphalt, on sand , anywhere I can see where I put my feet. It’s my stupid insect phobia, just the thought of stepping on a bug gives me the heebie jeebies.

Bug bug .. err .. But but all the want to do is be your Best Fiends err Friends

            Ha!

I’m not fond of critters that live in grass, but I still walk barefoot. Now, if I lived in Australia I’d have tie-up shoes on at all times!???

            Hip boots for me there.

DebG, you and Gigi have missed one of the delights of living. I can understand the ticklish part. But walking barefoot in grass is a joy.
Actually, just walking barefoot is a joy. As soon as it’s warm enough, I’m barefoot all day, inside and out.

Same here. I only put on shoes if I’m actually going somewhere!

Pablo used to tiptoe around in grass like that. I think it tickled his belly. 🙂

I was thinking the grass must be tickling their tummies!

Soft velvety grass in the cool of the morning with a bit of dew still on it… Delightful for feet and sense of smell.

Not done for too many years. I miss that.

I can’t help but wonder if Mom has ever experienced grass under her paws.

Hopefully she wasn’t in too bad a situation.
