Bird Brain Backup

Has this ever happened to you? You’re hard at work on an assignment for work or school and you get the sleepies. You don’t want to lose your place — or your train of thought. That’s when you need BeakMark™, the bookmark that remembers where you were and what you were thinking. Just read everything out loud, and BeakMark will parrot it back to you when you return.

This is a fantastic idea. You should patent it, NOMTOM.

Um…my beakmark fell asleep. I think there’s a slight design flaw in that…

What a sweet little beakmark! So shleepy…. My Soph loves to inflict “beakmarks” on magazines and books that I’m reading, like we’re a team and it’s my job to turn the pages and her job to shred them. I have a paperback book titled “Guide to Companion Parrot Behavior” and she’s chewed half the cover off, making it look amusingly ominous.

A former manager where I used to work got two Labradoodle puppies (back when they were a new thing) and she bought the Monks of New Skete dog training book. A few days later she put the chewed-up dust jacket on the bulletin board in the break room.

What if you read more than one book at a time? I think I need a flock of four Beackmarks. Can I get a good deal?

This looks like the little boy I’m bird sitting this week. Only Cricket is MUCH louder.
I leaned over to sweep around his cage this morning, and he climbed on the side bars and started grooming my hair. I always feel so honoured when he does that; that I have earned the trust of a small, (moderately) defenceless creature.

I just looked up love birds, and they are referred to as pocket parrots! So adorable!
