Cat Chat

Shout-out to Claraluz for her tip and nice note: “Mike, thanks for the daily smiles and for reminding me that there are still good things and people to enjoy. Some days I need a LOT of reminding!”

Indeed, we all need good people in our lives. Like this kind lady who helps her cat go to sleep with a bedtime conversation, filling kitty’s head with delicious visions of chicken and fish. Sleep well, kitty — we’ll see you in the morning!

I’m sure kitty enjoys this bedtime chatting; he seems to like being reminded of sweet kitty dreams. But it would drive me NUTS if someone did this to me!
    Love the batty catty fangs…

I just love chatty kitties? Side note…My daughter who volunteers at the ASPCA near her home informs me that the chatty cats are actually harder to place, even so far as being returned in some cases!?? I can’t imagine that, seems such a shame; not only do you get your new pal, but you get someone to talk to!

OMG, chatty cats are the best! How could anybody NOT want one? Okay, sometimes they talk all night, but hoomins do that too.

Our cat seems to chat mostly at night, just after we go to bed and just dozing off, she comes into the bedroom meowing all the while – doesn’t seem to want to be stroked or, God forbid, lifted onto the bed (she’s getting too old to get on by herself). I understand older cats tend to get this way, for various reasons. The same thing happens in the morning. Sometimes we do have a nice little two-way conversation and that’s very gratifying.

We got a ramp for our kitty when she got too old to climb up onto the front windowsill, her favorite place to sleep. She was very pleased, started walking up and down it immediately. It was very, very cute! 🙂

I had a cat who would go in the bathroom just when we went to bed and meow his fool head off for about 10 minutes. I got up the first time thinking he was in distress but he was tilting his head after each meow listening to the sound he was making like he was singing. After that I use to yell from the bed, shut-up Pavarotti when he went on too long and he would. ?

My Wacket used to go into the bathroom, sit on the toilet, and raise his voice in song.

I think the conversation is the best thing about cats!!!

    This is adorable.

My cat talks for specific reasons: treat, don’t step on me, human come back, in, out, stop kicking in bed, clean my box, birds!!! She does not chat at bedtime.

    I can’t imagine giving back a talker.

I love chatty chirpy kitties too 😀
I was kind of expecting the hoomin to pull up a little blankie and to tuck the kitty in at the end though.

    This is so sweet!?

I too love chatty cats – mine chats and chirps when I play peek-a-boo with her, and when she is hungry and I’m not filling her dish fast enough she chatters away sounding very bossy. Then there’s the plaintive, heart-rending meow when I go to bed just when she’s in the mood for cuddling…. guess who wins! 😀

    You are welcome, Mike!!
Question: subliminal tattoo parlor? Does that mean no needles are involved, only the power of suggestion? Am asking because that would be the ONLY way I would ever consider a tattoo – needles cause me to howl even louder than my cat when she’s lonely. 🙂

I think subliminal tattoos hurt just as much as normal ones. The only difference is that nobody can see them consciously — people just sense that they’re there.

By way of an example, I have a subliminal tattoo on my forehead that reads “This Was a Terrible Idea and I Regret this Decision Already.” Even though nobody can see it, after just a few minutes in my presence, people get a sense of me as being a complete idiot with poor judgement. It’s uncanny.

My subliminal tattoo say : “Remove foot before using mouth again”

      • Clairdelune August 17, 2016 / 9:15 pm

Oh, THAT kind of subliminal tattoo. OK, I get it. I know I have one also – it reads “Oooops, I stepped right in it, kind of deep, and I’ll never get rid of the smell. Siggghh.” All I can do is try to look like I did not notice… ?

It would be interesting if we could all see the subliminal tattoos people believed they had.
