Tucked In, Tuckered Out

Shout-out to Stephanie for starting a monthly tip, and to Sheila, who along with her generous tip shared my most dreaded nightmare: “Haven’t checked your site in three days as I’ve been without a computer. Computer and I are reunited, and I’m about to enjoy three days worth of Cutetropolis and I feel so happy! Thank you for the joy!” Since today is International Cat Day, let’s enjoy sweet dreams with this kitty sent in by Andrew Y. See you tomorrow!

Omg! When the little arms are lifted over the blanket and kitteh doesn’t wake up, I’m thinking “is it real? Is is dead!?” Cat Cuties, do your cats sleep like this?😳

    • ^oo^ August 8, 2016 / 9:19 pm

Is this Schrödinger’s cat? When I click on the arrow the cat disappears… no video for me.

    • joods August 8, 2016 / 9:47 pm

My kittehs have never slept that soundly. I imagine it’s possible. However seeing kittehs this non-responsive I want to reach in the screen to check said kitteh’s vital signs.
      Sorry for being a downer.

Lily certainly sleeps like that after a long session of the zoomies!

      • Faye August 9, 2016 / 6:30 am

        Picture please.

    What an adorable little sweetie!

I’m getting the stink eye at home at the moment, poor Boo is back from his visit to the vet, she pulled out both his upper fangs and a few other teeth. Tomorrow is Penny’s turn.

    • 6rabbits August 8, 2016 / 9:48 pm

I would be very careful around your house, keeping Boo in sight, until that stink-eye disappears!😉

    • Faye August 9, 2016 / 6:31 am

Oh so handsome. If I’m blessed with another kitty: all black.

Those of you with a kitteh, please give it a hug for me today! Since my husband has gotten so allergic, I don’t have any kittehs any more. 🙁 I love our puppies, but I still miss having a kitteh.

And honestly, this one is *lethally* adorable!

Aww such a sweetie and yes I remember some of my cats being this sound asleep that you could do most anything to them. Totally off topic but did anyone notice Mike has changed the tag line under the website name?? Now it says FORMERLY NOT THAT MIKE THE OTHER MIKE’S SCHOOL OF NINJA BALLET. Snerk, love it! I just have visions of ballerinas wearing all black and masks like one worn by the Lone Ranger.

    • allein 🐾 August 8, 2016 / 8:38 pm

      I noticed that this afternoon!

Well, there’s a ballet dancer on American Ninja Warrior this season…(I don’t remember if he made it to the next round or not).

Also, my cats would never sleep through that.

    • Smartypants August 8, 2016 / 8:58 pm

We didn’t notice it before because, well…ninjas! 😀

      • Haha August 8, 2016 / 10:14 pm

I don’t think I have ever slept as soundly as kitt above.

Speaking of above, I have figured out all the other pictures, but haven’t figured out the thing in the bottom right corner that looks like fungus on wood but is a face that has an eye and a long blue horn out of his head. Any clues as to what the picture portrays? 🙂

        • 6rabbits August 9, 2016 / 1:10 am

I have been trying to puzzle out what pictures you mean! Are you refering to the banners? The bird with the red glasses pic? His talons are wrapped around what looks like a wooden perch hanging from a blue strap–the “eye” would be the end of the perch, and the blue “horn” would be the strap. ????

And if that is NOT what you are refering to, then feel free to call the little men in white coats to take me away.😖

          • Haha August 9, 2016 / 5:40 am

You are correct 6, I am talking about the banners, if I refresh the page till picture in question appears.

I’m trying to make a bird with red glasses from it. Trying to see the talons and a perch. I’m the one who needs the men in coats as I’ve failed the ink blot test and can’t see the pictures.

Channeling Allein’s search-fu as I know the banners were talked about in another line of comments. Maybe there I’ll find the key to the locked picture for my mind.

        • Haha August 9, 2016 / 10:05 am

Ahhh! Figired it out! It was the hint about the bird in red glasses that did it. I look at this site as I do most of my computer stuff on my phone. Horizontally it cuts off the banner just to the right of the perch so I was not seeing the bird at all, just the thing with the blue horn.
I had my phone upright (just a touch more of the banner shows) and noticed a smidgin of red. Ding ding ding, light bulb going off! Off to the computer I go, and there it is, the whole picture.
Now off to refresh the page and see the rest of the rest of the pictures. 🙂

          • allein 🐾 August 9, 2016 / 10:07 am

If it makes you feel better, I thought the blue part was a little birdie skateboard or something.

          • 6rabbits August 9, 2016 / 10:24 am

So glad you got it!! The fact that the sunglasses part was totally cut off totally explains why you were having trouble!😆 I just looked at it on my phone and I see what you mean! No wonder you were confused!😂 I thought maybe turning the phone horizontal would help, but that made it totally worse!

          • fkaWaldenPond August 9, 2016 / 10:21 am

I have been wondering what the sunbathing cockatoo is holding? Is that a little, um cockatoo bong? Seriously, I can figure it out?

            • allein 🐾 August 9, 2016 / 10:24 am

If you click on the link under the pic (in Mike’s attributions page that he linked above) you can zoom in. It appears to be a little laminated card attached to a stick or something so he can hold it. A birdie magazine for him to read while he lounges in the sun?

            • Not That Mike The Other Mike August 9, 2016 / 10:24 am

I think it’s a sign with a message on it, and we’re looking at it from the side rather than the front.

          • 6rabbits August 9, 2016 / 10:31 am

Huh. I’ve never even seen the line of ducks show up! The parrot pic is hilarious once you can see the whole thing! It doesn’t work as well as the others for a banner pic. It’s like it should be scaled down so we get the whole pic, not just the head.

            • Haha August 9, 2016 / 10:41 am

I dunno. Now I’m kinda fond of my little monster with the weird eye and blue horn. 🙂

Hey guys, Happy International Cats Day! This is 16-year-old orange yelly, flappy mouth taken just now. Sorry for the lack of dusting… (oh lucky me, with the poor quality photo, (I am lousy at phone) you cannot see dust! :D)

P.S– Anyone up late watching the Olympics?!

    • allein 🐾 August 8, 2016 / 11:10 pm

I’m still up but they have yet to show any gymnastics. I’m going to bed in a few minutes.

      • fkaWaldenPond August 8, 2016 / 11:12 pm

I watched the swimming and now the repeat of women’s rugby but like you, heading to bed shortly.

    • joods August 8, 2016 / 11:10 pm

Oh FKAWALDENPOND great pic! Orange yelly, flappy mouth is a cutie!

      • fkaWaldenPond August 8, 2016 / 11:13 pm

Thanks Joods, he just tapped me on the lower back to get my attention– but believe you me, when that mouth is yelling he is not such a cutie. 😉

        • Faye August 9, 2016 / 6:35 am

Orange Yelly Flappy Mouth knows he’s boss. Great picture. 🦁

          • fkaWaldenPond August 9, 2016 / 7:42 am

Good Morning Faye and thank you! Yes, he loudly announcing now he could have some more yogurt if I am inclined to share…

    • Smartypants August 9, 2016 / 10:52 am

Great pic! How nice to meet His Yelly Flappy Highness after hearing about him.

      • fkaWaldenPond August 9, 2016 / 11:32 am

Thanks SmartyPants, once I figure out my phone camera I will try and get him in action, flapping his freckle leeps.
