Babysitter Problems

“Ouch! Hey! You know, my real mommy carries me gently by the back of my neck.”

“Yeah, well, your real mommy doesn’t have a mouth like a bear trap, so just work with me here, kid.”

I honestly can’t tell if the dog “loffs” the kitty and thinks she is kitty’s mama….

…or if the dog is just saving kitty as a snack for later.

I was wondering the same thing! I just about died laughing when she grabbed kitty by the head. Snort!! The dog is kinda like, really my lil sister has to follow me everywhere? Well, I might as well just drag her upstairs or else we’ll be here all day. Plus I love how little kitten looks like a cow with her awesome white and black markings (cat cow or cow cat?)

Goldens like to “mouth” animal heads, or at least that’s what a neighbor/Golden Retriever owner told me when her dog put my Chihuahua’s entire head in its mouth and just sat there, not biting or chomping, but just with my dog’s entire head in it’s mouth.

Apparently, it’s instinctual for them which is why they will bring back a shot down bird entirely intact to their owner.

Maybe your hua hua was doing his lion tamer act?

Yes. Or the whole animal, if it’s small enough. We had a golden who caught a mouse, and sat there with a doggy smile and the tail hanging out from between her teeth on one side. ::shudder::. She was was very annoyed with us for removing her new toy!

Yeah, but this isn’t a Lab! Obvy owner knows dog best, but German Shepards don’t “mouth”, they “bite”! Poor, slobbery kitteh!

Poor kitten. He’s got doggie spit on his head. Sweet doggie was just doing the best he could.

I had a dog many years ago at a time when my cat had kittens. The kittens were always wet with puppy spit. And then I’d find the puppy asleep with a kitten in every nook and cranny of his little body – pretty adorable.

Yes, I agree! I love both of these sweeties! And a little dog spit never hurt anyone!

LOL, I bet that poor kitten was wishing his/her new friend had a Baby Bjorn or something.
