I so love that we share similar playful times with other species – I remember doing this when I was young – sheer joy.

Me too! I would do this all day with friends!

Now, the thought of rolling downhill like that makes me worry that I’ll faceplant in dog poo, or worse.

Ah, to be young and carefree!

Speaking of dog poo, has anyone seen the “mini-essay” on Facebook about the guy who’s dog pooped in the house at night and the Roomba went on its programmed journey shortly after and the guy woke up to poo EVERYWHERE!!! Like the Roomba flung it on all the baseboards, not to mention that it spread it all over the entire house. And then, because Roombas are expensive, he tried to clean the poo out of the Roomba…..

I read the whole thing. I would have sold my house. Lol.

…or hired one of those crime-scene cleanup teams…

I’m 44, and a few weeks ago, I rediscovered the joy of rolling down hills. You’ve got to pick your location judiciously (clean grass, short enough that you can be sure there are no lurking “surprises,” safe landing spot, just the right pitch). It’s deliriously fun and will give you great belly laughs. It’s particularly wonderful for those of us who have a bit of roundness and built-in padding — it’s like I’ve finally found a sport I was built for. The funniest is rolling down a long, steep hill and then trying to run back up while still dizzy.

Hope that’s a road not travelled much.

Had the same thought – I think the photographer is close enough by to see if it’s safe. One hopes.

Yes, I think it’s a footpath in some sort of park/botanical garden. At the top of the hill there’s a handrail, and toward the end, top right, there’s a wrought-iron type fence that looks park-ish.

      What a happy doggie!

How is this not an Olympic sport???????

I’d watch that! They could award points for form, number of revolutions, and maybe bonus points for sheer blorpy cuteness.

Me too!! I would watch that!

Unless I miss my guess, that might be the parklands at Ft Tryon, next to the Cloisters museum.

Such a happy dog! That must feel really good!?

I wonder if this is the same dog from the video back in the old CO days. I recall another video of an adorable goofy bulldog who continually climbed a grassy hill to roll down. Or maybe this is just a new bulldog trend?

I have a feeling that Bulldogs just wanna have fun – they’re dab-hands at skate boarding and surfing.
