Wait, it’s Not What it Looks Like

As Daphne finished the last bit of her delicious hazelnut latte with whipped cream, she couldn’t help but notice the county dog catcher watching her with suspicion…

Such an adorable pup! Obviously, she LOVES her puppacino!

And on an unrelated note, thank you SO MUCH for starting to put the hovertext in lighter script at the bottom of photos! I have only Android devices, and I can’t see the hovertext on them, so on days I don’t boot up my desktop, I simply avoid reading your stuff because the hovers make it so much better. But now I can look at Cutetropolis no matter what device I’m on! Yay!

You’re welcome. I only wish I’d thought of it sooner, because I could have been doing it all along. The hovertext was a tradition I took with me from Cute Overload, and they had been doing it since before smarphone web browsing became big.

I think it’s a great idea – and for those of us on desktops, it doesn’t detract from the regular hovertext at all, b/c it’s at the bottom.

I noticed it this morning but I still keep hovering and waiting for the text to pop up…then I remember…

Anyone know what’s in a puppacino?

FYI: I’m going to continue using hovertext along with this new caption. I don’t want to take away a feature that probably many readers have gotten used to.

NTMTOM, you’ve spoiled me with hovertext! When I read other blogs, I keep expecting it and get upset when they don’t – which they never do!

              Same here.

                Ditto!

I do that on any picture that’s even remotely cute, ever since I started regularly reading at CO. And sometimes pictures that aren’t. I read another blog that has nothing to do with anything cute or funny (though sometimes there are humorous posts and there are plenty of funny people in the commentariat) and I still occasionally find myself expecting some funny text to pop up over a picture of, say, ten commandments monument or a city council member in Nowhere, Idaho.

Still cannot get hovers on my phone! *pouts mightily*

But now you don’t need to!

          Puppaccino is just whipped cream

          • Faye August 15, 2016 / 9:45 pm

Ahh. I have what there having!

            • Faye August 16, 2016 / 5:44 am

              Wow. Bad spelling.
              I’ll have what they’re having!

Oh, and what a sweet pup! I forgot to tell you guys on the weekend thread, my neighbor has a new puppy who’s a pittie mix and a total lovebug.

    • Faye August 15, 2016 / 4:36 pm

      Pictures!

Mike, I think you need an “animal crimes” tag for posts like this and the pelican in the police car.

  4. Faye August 15, 2016 / 4:37 pm

I saw this picture. I’m so glad it ended up here with the funniest story a la Mike.

  5. Faye August 15, 2016 / 4:39 pm

Faye leans in and kisses that off and then boops the nose on the puzzled pup. Sooo cute.

  6. Gigi the cat lady August 15, 2016 / 6:03 pm

Mad? Me? What makes you say that?

  7. amyliz August 15, 2016 / 8:57 pm

What an irresistible pup! I bet Daytona will be/has been snatched up!

  8. allein ? August 15, 2016 / 9:19 pm

So I finally googled puppaccino to see what it actually is, and it’s just a small cup of whipped cream that Starbucks gives dogs in the drive-thru. ?

    Now I just need a dog…and a Starbucks with a drive-thru…

  9. Brouhaha August 16, 2016 / 11:04 am

Well that could be a cattuccino then, too. My kitty comes running when she hears me shake the ready whip!
