    I feel ya’, baby dog.

  2. Birdcage August 22, 2016 / 8:56 am

Can I just hold this baby dog for a minute or two? Maybe let him breathe his puppy breath on my face?

  3. Faye August 22, 2016 / 9:31 am

Can’t reach pedals. Got zoom? Evidently not.

And the hover text is a scream.

  7. Tina M August 22, 2016 / 10:15 am

Totally agree Murray! Hover text gave me the giggles.

    I feel your pain puppy!

Oh man, that is sooo my Monday. Still can’t rid of my allergy attack, now it’s moved on to a sinus headache and possible ear infection. Somehow I made it to work and I’m hoping strong coffee and tylenol will allow me to function for a few hours. If not, I’m doing like puppy and throwing in the towel.

    • Faye August 22, 2016 / 1:18 pm

Warm steam and warm compresses. Stop drinking anything cold for awhile.

      • AJ August 22, 2016 / 2:03 pm

Thanks Faye. I’ll try that when I go home. The coffee and tylenol have kicked in so I’m semi-functioning right now. Just don’t ask me to do advance math or think very hard, lol.

Puppy ALMOST made it worth getting up.
Actually, getting up wasn’t so hard today. Had heat exhaustion all weekend. Not impressed. Today is much cooler, and it might even rain! Sitting huddled in a chair wrapped around a mug of tea, wondering where the weekend went.

    • allein ? August 22, 2016 / 11:47 am

We got rain last night. It was really nice when I left this morning. Almost felt like fall.

      • Gigi the cat lady August 22, 2016 / 12:26 pm

Same here but it won’t last, temperature and humidity are going back up starting tomorrow.

        • allein ? August 22, 2016 / 12:48 pm

I’m just gonna live in denial for a while. (While I’m in the a/c and don’t know what it’s like outside right now.)

          • Murray C. August 22, 2016 / 12:56 pm

Ah, yes, Allein, the 51st State. Whats the capital?????

            • allein ? August 22, 2016 / 12:59 pm

              “D”?

              • Murray C. August 22, 2016 / 1:03 pm

Ah, I should have known – The Literalists scores again!!!?

                • Duckie ? August 22, 2016 / 2:10 pm

Murray, correct me if I’m wrong, but the state of denial doesn’t have a capital. It has a queen.

                  • Murray C. August 22, 2016 / 2:13 pm

                    ?????

      • AJ August 22, 2016 / 12:36 pm

Hey guys, send some cool weather and rain my way. SoCal is literally on fire, just read that one fire is about 2 miles from Hearst Castle. Hope they stop it or it might be a sad ending for that building.

        • Murray C. August 22, 2016 / 12:53 pm

Omigosh, it’s so awful! I’m so sorry for all of you anywhere near that conflagration. Please keep safe – and I hope the weather turns soon.

        • fkaWaldenPond August 22, 2016 / 3:03 pm

Oh no! I hope it is spared; the pool there is one of my favourites.

          • AJ August 22, 2016 / 4:52 pm

Here’s a pic of how close it is. Latest news is that it’s moving north away from the castle but wild fires can change in seconds so keep fingers crossed.

            • fkaWaldenPond August 22, 2016 / 7:08 pm

              :S !

  11. Claire August 22, 2016 / 12:05 pm

And that is why I live just a 15 minute walk from work. Even on the worst Monday morning, a 15 minute walk improves my mood far more than a car commute ever could. But then I’m also a firm believer that there’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing (though the swampy humidity of August in Ohio always tests my belief in this adage). And now I’m pondering how delightful that walk would be if a sweet puppy were accompanying me.

    • debg August 22, 2016 / 12:17 pm

Claire, you’re not only lucky to live so close to work, you have the right attitude about it! I admire your determination to walk in hot, humid weather.

  12. Laura August 22, 2016 / 1:31 pm

I stayed up late working and goofing off (I’m having a West Wing marathon — love that show!) last night so I wouldn’t even *have* to face Monday morning. This way I could legitimately sleep late. Not that it means I have less to do today, alas. But at least I didn’t have to face the day too early.

When I did have to travel to work outside my house, though, I felt like this puppy more days than not. I am just NOT a morning person. Haven’t been since I was about 12 years old. Working at home on my own schedule is the solution to that problem, fortunately!

    • 6rabbits August 22, 2016 / 10:46 pm

I am NOT a morning person either, but since I’m a teacher I have to struggle with early rising. I’m really not “awake” until 10 or so. It’s been hard adjusting back to my work schedule–def feel like this puppeh!

  13. Saffron August 22, 2016 / 1:42 pm

I feel your pain, sweet pupperson. Had to get up early today to fly for work. But on the plus side, saw someone walking their dog at O’Hare …tiny little wawa wearing a coat with a skull print on it. Because he is a teeny tiny bad*ss. OMG SO CUTE! Made up for all the businessman douchebag travelers.

    • Murray C. August 22, 2016 / 6:19 pm

Saffron, you work for an airline???

      • Saffron August 22, 2016 / 9:41 pm

Nope. Just fly for business travel. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes but it is always nice to come home to my kittehs. ?

        • Murray C. August 22, 2016 / 9:46 pm

Probably just as well – it’s one thing encountering grouchy business people when you’re one of them (?) and quite another when you have to cater to them.

    • allein ? August 22, 2016 / 9:15 pm

I went to the park after work…it was beautiful and breezy and not too warm; I was even able to keep my sweater on (to keep the sun off my pasty white arms). Walked up by the dog park and there were three people sitting talking on the benches in the little-dog area, but I didn’t see any little dogs (there were four or five bigger dogs in the big-dog area, including a young GSD and one that just want to RUN!). But as I approached the fence a teeny Wawa came jogging over and said hi. The people weren’t paying any attention but he licked my fingers through the fence, then went over by the gate as if he was expecting me to come open it (soooo tempting!). Then he ran back over to the people and the one guy picked him up and got lots of kisses. I was jealous.

      • Murray C. August 22, 2016 / 9:31 pm

That’s the best. I feel like I’ve had a special day if I meet someone out walking their dog and we get to have a little cuddle. (uh, the dog and me not the person)

PS The little dog in this is so sweet – I love the shape of the dome of his head! Arghhh!

        • allein ? August 22, 2016 / 9:51 pm

I’m watching American Ninja Warrior, and one of the veteran runners is known for his bright green hair and “Captain NBC” costume. The did a little feature on him tonight because he got himself a little doggie…a Yorkie (I think they said his name is Doogie), who was on the sidelines with the guy’s girlfriend, in his own mini costume, complete with cape, and his own green hair (just on his head). So cute.

          • Murray C. August 22, 2016 / 10:38 pm

Purty darned cute. I get the biggest kick out of Yorkies. Was at a party once where people had their dogs and someone had a golden and darned if this little randy Yorkie didn’t try to have his way with her. Her look was VERY amusing.

  14. Duckie ? August 22, 2016 / 1:45 pm

Mike, I’m sorry for changing your cute puppy comment section to a weather rant. As penance, I will STEAL this adorable lump of floppy puppy breath and limp away with him as fast as I can.

    • Not That Mike The Other Mike August 22, 2016 / 1:58 pm

There’s no need to apologize. I never insist that comments relate to a certain post. You should always feel free to talk about what you want.

  15. Duckie ? August 22, 2016 / 3:34 pm

Ha ha! Fooled Mike AND got the puppy!
