Silent Night? You Wish

A very special shout-out to Elizabeth for a generous tip. Thank you so much. Between this gift and me getting a calendar printed in time for the holiday season, it’s starting to look like Christmas around here. So here’s a memorable Christmas carol sung by Smart-Alec the husky and captured by sender-inner Coleen O.:

This reminds me so much of a wonderful dog blogger, who lives with his *six* Siberians in the middle of nowhere in the Blue Ridge. Which is probably encouraged by the fact that the dogs have regular daily songs. He put up a great short video of them singing a few weeks back:

After listening to the “morning choir practice” I’ll just say thank goodness they are not my neighbours! ?

These dogs are not meant for apartment living, that’s for sure.

Sounds like the version of Santa toy after being left out in the snow and rain. An oldie but goodie.

Just a teensy weensy bit more practice needed…

I’m surprised Santa toy still works. Every dog I’ve ever known would have killed the toy by now, removed the noisemaker, and buried it in the litter box.
And the next time kitty comes to use said litter box…

I’m now sitting at my desk, John Williams music blaring loudly to cover construction noise a floor or two or three below me, giggling uncontrollably with tears streaming down my face at the mental image this provoked. Between NTMTOM, Duckie and the rest of the inhabitants of this wonderful corner of the interwebs, I’m in the happiest place in the world! Thank you ALL!!

    Yay a calendar!!

Also, speaking of creatures singing, have you all heard the track of crickets recorded at regular speed and then also super slowed down? It’s just beautiful and has become my new go-to background sound at work. https://soundcloud.com/acornavi/jim-wilson-crickets-audio

I would love to know what they mean by it. Is it pack bonding, plus announcing their existence and location to any other packs in the vicinity? Just fun?
