Dinner Theatre

Adorable baby feeds a very patient dog

“Yanno, I gotta say I’m grateful to the kid. I used to rush through meals, wolfing down my food, you might say. Then he came along, and now I get dinner and a show. It’s just a matter of time before he starts driving his Tonka trucks up Mt. Kibble. I can’t wait.”

I think they need more bowls, Murray C.

In addition to being cute and funny that is a very patient dog.

Puppers, please ignore the fact that I’m pulling your dinner out of my diaper.

    • Murray C. September 13, 2016 / 11:06 am

I think the dog would consider that “seasoning”.

      • debg September 13, 2016 / 11:14 am

        LOL, I think you’re right.

That is some serious cuteness happening there. And, yes, a most patient (and sweet) dog.

I very much admire the patience of that dog. No gulping, no grabbing, just very carefully accepts the kibble from the baby. And baby is obviously entranced by the gentleness of the dog. I was afraid of a potential nip, but no.

Oh, that’s what they were talking about on the radio this morning. Except they were focused on the word “moobs.” Silly boys.

    • jerzowa September 13, 2016 / 3:01 pm

Squee has not been a word up till now??????I’ve been using it all the time, even at lectures (history of medicine). I did get strange looks from some students… Well, English is not my first tongue, and, evidently, some of my students are not as advanced in the Cutespeek as me! ?

      What the heck is “moobs”?

      • Smartypants September 13, 2016 / 3:21 pm

“moobs” = “man-boobs” (flabby chest on a guy).

That dog has the patience of a saint compared to my chorkie. She runs in fear towards her food bowl if the baby even looks in that direction. Then if my baby nephew actually gets close to the bowl, she scarfs down the food so quickly, she almost chokes on it.

  6. Julie September 13, 2016 / 12:49 pm

I’m surprised the baby isn’t trying to eat the dog food, but maybe the part where baby ate some and decided “no likey” got edited out.

    • JenDeyan September 13, 2016 / 2:25 pm

My little nephew has done this except he didn’t spit it out. He was happily sucking on the bit of dogfood like candy until we scooped it out of his mouth. This happened when the chorkie was more focused on trying to get human food so the food bowl was left wide open.

Hehe, I didn’t eat any pet food, but apparently I ate gravel. And soap.

        • Haha September 13, 2016 / 4:02 pm

I tried cat food (appropriately in the method of a cat) and apparently hubby and dog traded teething biscuit and dog biscuit to the gratification of both parties engaged in the trade.

I just climbed up on the table and ate straight from the sugar bowl.

        • Faye September 13, 2016 / 5:04 pm

There was a boy in my neighborhood when I was a kid who ate dirt. So I tasted it.

Dry and metallic. Then it’s mud. Once was enough.

He ate a worm once. I didn’t copy that!

I witnessed my sister and brother eat the dog biscuits right out of the bowl. They were about 7 and 2 . My sister did this routinely on Saturday mornings when we got up early to watch cartoons. I remember trying Play-Doh cos it smelled so good. Bleeck!

My hubs tells me he used to eat kibble as a kid. Which explains a lot….

I ate butter strait from the dish and drank cream from the bottle. I’m still heavy handed when I butter my toasts and I put cream on my cereals but I also put in milk because I feel guilty.

        • Murray C. September 13, 2016 / 6:17 pm

I used to lick the butter off of my bread then give it to my father.? He eschewed it.

          • Haha September 13, 2016 / 6:21 pm

            Did your dog rechew it?

            • Murray C. September 13, 2016 / 8:21 pm

              ?

          • Faye September 13, 2016 / 10:17 pm

            Eschew! God bless you!

            • Murray C. September 13, 2016 / 10:37 pm

              Thank you.

    • Julie September 13, 2016 / 4:27 pm

Okay, so just so I’m clear on this, everyone who wrote above that they have eaten pet food/weird stuff, did so as children, right?

      • allein ? September 13, 2016 / 4:29 pm

        ?

When I did the sugar thing I was about 4.

Although I do eat too much sugar, still, I do it in a more socially acceptable manner now. 😉

      • Haha September 13, 2016 / 4:34 pm

I was old enough to remember eating cat food like a cat from the cat bowl, but not old enough to know better. Hubby was a young toddler hense the teething biscuit for a baby who needs to chew on something because their teeth are coming in.

        • Haha September 13, 2016 / 4:36 pm

And I realize I have joined the ranked of people that the picture by their name has changed. I used to be weirdly purple looking thing. Now I’m scary green snarly teeth looking thing.

        • Smartypants September 13, 2016 / 5:06 pm

That must be why you’re the Cat’s Meow, Mike!

        • Laura September 13, 2016 / 7:47 pm

Which flavor of Fancy Feast, Mike? Our cat for a long time would eat only the one my son called “Sardines and Snot.”

            • allein ? September 13, 2016 / 8:08 pm

              You’re cracking me up!

I tried to find a picture of pumpkin spice cat food but this was the best I could do..

              • Murray C. September 13, 2016 / 8:24 pm

I give my cat canned pumpkin when she starts showing signs of a hairball and she loves it.

I love how he’s all quiet until the end and then, “Hi.”

Reminded me of the time I was watching my friend’s 18 month old daughter while they were finally moving back into the first floor of their house after Sandy (she was 3 months old when the storm hit). We were upstairs lying on their bed and I was watching TV while she napped. After an hour or so she woke up, rolled over, and just said, “Hi.” It was adorable.

  8. Skimpy September 13, 2016 / 3:10 pm

That’s baby Monk!!! He’s trying to make the bowls even 🙂 🙂

    • Faye September 13, 2016 / 5:02 pm

Hahahaha. Nailed it. But Mr. Monk would never touch a dog!

      And hi! Skimpy.

      • Skimpy September 14, 2016 / 2:31 pm

        Hi Faye 🙂
        You’re right! Wipe! Wipe! Wipe!

  9. Kar September 13, 2016 / 6:57 pm

Worst thing I ate was the Baby Alive food. Which was intentionally edible, they knew that we’d eat it too.M
