The jet propulsion is his natural mode of propulsion, they call him Perro caliente con salsa chili. Chili dog for short ?

HAH! Aren’t people weird, to come up with something like wiener dogs dressed as wieners and have them race each other??? It’s very funny, and the dogs don’t seem to mind. And I’m sure there’s a little cottage industry of home sewers making the hot dog outfits “with condiments of your choice”.

They’re probably available from major retailers now, from what I’ve seen of all the dachsund races going on! I must say I love the creative things people are doing with their pups. Like giving them hover jet propulsion!

Yes, there’s a certain uniformity to the doggie paniers (a la Velazquez?) in this image except for ketchup and mustard. Was imagining when this sport first began and people actually making their own outfits. That’d be more fun and part of the competition, wouldn’t you think?

*I* would think so and *you* would think so, but probably a lot of people have a pup but no capacity — or interest — in making their own costume, alas. Personally, I’d make mine because I cannot stand yellow mustard, even on hot dogs, so any hot dog costume on any dog of mine would be ketchup only! Which I realize is somewhat heretical, but oh well.

              Mustard? ?

I’d crochet mine. I crocheted food for awhile when I was in school. Great fun.

Telling me the less I know makes me think about the jet propulsion more. I probably shouldn’t have…

    • Duckie ? September 18, 2016 / 11:05 am

After all this jet propulsion talk, all I could think of was how that tail on hover dog looks like the after-effects of jet propulsion…

        Brilliant minds…..?

That one wiener has something red on him. (obscure movie reference)

Which one was disqualified…the dog on the left sorta in the background also seems to be hovering.

Egad, was that Putin riding that one doggie?

I’m a little under the effects of painkillers, and it strikes me that my new image looks very much like a slice of bread with grape jelly and an elephant trunk. Murray, do blue corn chips go with grape jelly?

    • Faye September 18, 2016 / 8:08 pm

      I’m stone cold sober.

      Yes. Yes it does!

      • Murray C. September 18, 2016 / 10:02 pm

We-e-e-l-l-lll, not in my book. But I don’t like concord grape.

    • Smartypants September 18, 2016 / 8:50 pm

Everything goes with grape jelly! πŸ˜€

    • Murray C. September 18, 2016 / 9:56 pm

Maybe it’s a party blowout? Definitely a piece of jelly bread.
