A Look at Fall Fashion

And next, we have lovely model Alicia, looking simply radiant in this stunning arrangement of fall colors by Mr. Rudolpho of Fifth Avenue. Whether attending the opera, enjoying a cocktail party with friends, or simply relaxing by the water’s edge waiting to devour a helpless woodland creature, this bold arrangement of yellows and reds captures the elegance of the season.

Here’s the real story: A photographer exploring the Amazon saw these butterflies arranged by color and drinking the tears of a willing caiman. Found on Bored Panda by Andrew Y.

It is just me or does that Caiman have ‘come hither’ look? Not going anywhere hither nor yon no matter how pretty a picture she makes.

She’d be batting her eyelashes…if she had eyelashes…

      • 6rabbits September 21, 2016 / 6:08 pm

Butterfly antennae almost look like her eyelashes…

I would look as smug with such stunning regalia.

Love the movie and the song. And the cat that ate the canary side-eye.

The caiman has a smile on her face 🙂 “Please admire my new bonnet”.

If this was a in French, I would make a classic Québécois word play, since it’s not, I’ll just say how poetic I find the idea of butterflies drinking a caiman’s tears.

      Please do!

I don’t really “know” French, but I love the sound of it and can understand a few words…

I can recite the alphabet and count to 20… 😛

      Teach it to us!!!

Okay here it is : Elle est caïman trop belle.

It’s a word play on the word caïman that in French sounds like quasiment with means almost. You have to pronounce the ï as e.

Merci, GiGi! I have a book called “Mots d’Heures Gousses Rames” (circumflex over the a) and it’s a book of Mother Goose Rhymes written with onomatopoeic (sp?) French words, so all the French is gibberish but spoken allowed sounds like English with a French accent. The author, however, translates the nonsense French and hilarity ensues.?

          Sounds like fun.

        • 6rabbits September 21, 2016 / 10:17 pm

Murray, do you mean phonetic? Onomatopoeia refers to words that imitate the sound of something–like buzz, meow, honk, boom etc. Phonetic would be spelling tout de suite as “toot sweet”, or beaucoup as “boo coo”❓❓❓?

          • Murray C. September 21, 2016 / 11:06 pm

Yes, you’re right, my mistake. I think I just wanted to hear onomatopoeia!? It’s such a lovely word. Thanks for correcting me! And auto correct made “aloud” into”allowed” – at least that wasn’t my error!!!

            • 6rabbits September 22, 2016 / 7:10 am

Onomatopoeia IS very fun to say!!?
              ( I hate when auto-correct does that!)

      • 6rabbits September 21, 2016 / 9:58 pm

This is why I took Latin and Spanish…my mind, and tongue!, boggles that “quasiment” can sound anything like “caïman”! (I can figure out the meaning of many French words, but pronounce them? Non!)?

  7. hilz September 21, 2016 / 10:25 am

“Pearl earring? Ha! So last season.”

  8. Patty September 21, 2016 / 11:37 am

I love this! The caiman seems to have a smile on it’s face. I imagine him singing “I Feel Pretty”

  9. Duckie ? September 21, 2016 / 11:40 am

I want to print this picture, frame it and hang it on my wall.

  10. michael September 21, 2016 / 12:54 pm

Note the yellow bow (butterfly) on her nose (snout? beak?).

    Such a bold fashion statement.

(Love the look in it’s eye.)

  11. sugitomo September 21, 2016 / 7:14 pm

Caiman is totally throwing shade at our butterfly-less and boring hair dos in the human world.

    • allein ? September 21, 2016 / 7:46 pm

      What do you mean, “butterfly-less”?!

    • Duckie ? September 21, 2016 / 10:44 pm

That does it. I’m making butterfly barrettes this weekend!
