Two Heads Are Freakier Than One

Zombocom, NJ — Veterinary surgeons will attempt to remove a kitten growing out of a dog’s head, a rare condition known as felixcephaly. “I can’t wait to be rid of the thing,” says dog Mr. Woofles. “I just want to sit by the window and watch the squirrels, and suddenly I’ll have this urge to climb the drapes.”

Doggie looks rather resigned to his fate…

Appears to be the wrestling maneuver known as the ‘headlock-lick’.

    Very advanced technique.

      I’m not sure that’s a legal move…

Legalities, phooey! This doggy needs to be licked, and I need practice licking! This floof needs to be aligned properly, and if I’m to get it right, I must stay in correct proximity to do a good job! So there!

    Laughing uproariously at work again!

Thanks, Mike, I needed that. On Monday, one of my cats got out of the house and I haven’t been able to find him. Desperately hoping George Weasleycat finds his way home, and SOON.

I hope he comes back home soon, I’m sending positive thoughts your way!

NOOOOOO! A lost kitty. I often wonder where our kitty came from and if her previous family still misses her and wonders what happened to her. When she appeared at our door I had no intention of keeping her, I put signs around the neighborhood. Then I took her to the vet to have her spayed and she already was, and the vet just said, “Keep her!” So we did. Here’s hoping your little darling comes back soon!

By the by, Mike, I’m not getting emails from you again, I went on Facebook to see this post – any idea why that might be?

Email notifications did go out for this post, so perhaps yours got diverted into a “spam” folder by accident. I’m glad Facebook was there for you as a backup.

That’s terrible! I had three awful days when one of my kitties went missing. My husband and I slept on the downstairs couch with the front and back doors open for her (other kitty safely locked in upstairs bedroom!). I kept dreaming that she came home, and she did! I hope your little guy has a happy ending, too!

Oh dear! Sending good thoughts – hope George finds his way safely home soon.

Oh dear, lost kitties are always scary! But if you have a neighbor with a wooded area on their property, you might ask them to keep a particular eye out. My Emily snuck out when she was getting pretty elderly — 17, I think — and fortunately my next-door-neighbor came over and told me he’d seen her in the woods behind his house. It took me more than a week to get over there when she was out and visible and persuade her to come home, but in the meantime I put her favorite gushy food out on the step for her every day and she came over at night and ate it all, so I knew she was at least getting *something* to eat.

Interestingly, after I was finally able to get her and bring her back home, she never tried to sneak out again. I think she realized that for a kitty her age, too old to catch little rodents that she’d been so good at in her youth, it was better just to stay inside and let the humans serve her. So here’s hoping George Weasleycat is found soon and doesn’t try to get out again, just like Emily!

Stripes got out once and stayed out all night. My dad looked out around 5am and he was sitting on the porch with a new friend, but when my dad opened the door they ran off. A few hours later he must have decided he was hungry and came back (sans friend). When my dad opened the door he bolted inside and ran to the food dish. He stayed away from the doors for a while after that (though he has gotten out since; I don’t think he’s stayed out all night again, though).

Bwaaa ha haaa! Love this picture. Being a native Jerseyite, I can attest to the weird mutations that can happen due to the various contaminants in our air, water, soil, etc. from years of manufacturing (snicker)

I needed a good laugh his morning as I woke up to a mess in the garage, the water heater decided to leak and the main shut off valve is rusted so I don’t dare try to turn it. I feel like Lucy Ball – wahh, wahhh. Ricky, come fix this thing!!! Welcome to the weekend!

    • debg September 23, 2016 / 11:05 am

Houses always break down on weekends (usually holiday ones in my experience) and it just isn’t fair. Good luck!

You had me going for a minute there, NOMTOM. I’ve always said New Jersey has the BEST place names. I saw “Zombocom” and thought, “I never heard of that” so I googled it . . . .

Kitten does look like a tiny zombie about to eat doggeh’s brains.

    • AJ September 23, 2016 / 2:18 pm

      LOL!

    • debg September 23, 2016 / 4:38 pm

It’s the tiny zombies that are most deadly. Everybody knows that.

Thanks, everybody, for the good wishes that George will come home. I’ll be sure to share any good news.

      • fkaWaldenPond September 23, 2016 / 8:35 pm

Oh man Debg, I read about your situation earlier but could not respond until now. I am sorry; what a anxious, worrisome day you must be having. Just in case it hasn’t been mentioned or you are not aware, go plunk a big used litter box by your door. The ‘more fragrant, more used’ the better. The marking may bring George home.
        Keep us posted!
And deadly kitten zombie can feast on my brain if so chooses.

      • Not That Mike The Other Mike September 23, 2016 / 11:24 pm

I know I’m a bit late, but I hope all goes well and George comes home safely.
