You Missed a Spot

Look, I’m an important cat and I do a lot of very important bird-watching from this window! My professional standards call for nothing less thanย perfectly clean, streak-free windows! So let’s make an effort here, peon!

That cat is clearly the boss, Faye. You can see more of this cat on YouTube.

I’ve seen this one before, but it’s still adorable. Love how the window-washer guy has his fun with the kitty.

oh this is so cute! Love the cat paw on the window.

Playing with the cat would make a boring job more interesting. My mail carrier, long since retired, used to enjoy delivering the mail to my house since both cats, one big and orange the other small and black, used to greet him at the glass door.

So true. Our FedEx guy used to always stop at our house for a visit with our lab, Isaac (who’s been gone now for nearly 2 years, unfortunately, he was a sweetie!), and he’d bring biscuits, too. So Isaac learned that delivery people are his friends! And after Dan the FedEx Man had him well trained, he loved to go out and visit with any delivery people, even the mailman — although nobody but Dan ever brought him treats, to his sorrow. It was really sweet! Dan nearly cried when we told him Isaac had passed on. I think he loved that dog nearly as much as we did!

I think if I were hanging off the side of a building who-knows-how-many stories up…the last thing on my mind would be playing with people’s pets on the other side of the glass…?

Yeah, I’ll never be a window-washer. This kitty would make the job much more fun but no less scary.

Many years ago, when I lived and worked in NYC, a window-washer saw me watching him out the window and pretended to lose his balance. I nearly did lose control of my bladder. Hopefully he’s still laughing, because I’m still in therapy over that incident.

OMG that is too funny, getting punked by the window-washer– scary yes, but funny!

I recommend watching this cat’s other videos. The cat builds up quite a range of games with the man. And one day there is another window washer.

    Well chosen NOMTOM.

Also, you get to see part of the London skyline. At least I’m pretty sure it’s London, from the “new” part of town.

Can you IMAGINE what the window washer sees?!?!?!

Love George Formby – have lots of his recordings.

As someone who intensely dislikes window-washing, watching this man do it so effortlessly seems like magic. Swish swish swish, done. What the heck?

Also, it’s so sweet he takes the time to play with the cat.

Yes, he cleans with such style. And he’s even cute!

That reminds me, I want to clean the downstairs window in my bldg – it’s covered with nose prints, either from a dog jumping high or a human stooping low ๐Ÿ˜€

      • Gigi the cat lady September 26, 2016 / 7:13 pm

I hope it’s the dog jumping high, the human stooping low to look in the window is creepy.

          • Smartypants September 26, 2016 / 8:16 pm

Yikes, now that is scary! Glad they withdrew it.

          • Gigi the cat lady September 26, 2016 / 8:32 pm

No I hadn’t seen it. I don’t want to be sexist, but I bet it was a man that thought that a creepy peeping tom would make a good Halloween decoration.

            • fkaWaldenPond September 26, 2016 / 8:37 pm

Yes I agree, it is messed up. More on the topic of scaredy Halloween– I have a massive amount of spiders outside my windows…. eeekk 17th floor and they aren’t all Halloween holiday-ish about it. No, straight on 24/7 I can peek out the bathroom, bedroom, balcony windows and see my massive spider crew happily at work.
              *sigh*

            • Murray C. September 26, 2016 / 8:43 pm

That’s pretty bad. The peeping Tom, I mean.

          • murkle46 September 27, 2016 / 4:50 pm

This prank has the O.C. and Stiggs seal of approval.

I could use this window washing guy AND the kittie. Both adorable.
My plan is to start washing windows next week. My October schedule, plus
start hauling out warm clothes and stashing summer duds.

    • Murray C. September 26, 2016 / 6:49 pm

Oh, I so need to do that – doubt it’ll get done very well, – but I need to clean EVERYwhere, especially our glass doors – pussycat pawings and who knows what else. I may need to get help from a pro.

  9. Gigi the cat lady September 26, 2016 / 7:16 pm

My cat Bindi paws at the patio door all the time in winter when it’s closed, but if I open it she goes away, too cold for her taste. ?

    • Murray C. September 26, 2016 / 8:45 pm

Does your cat paw at the door, refuse to go out because of inclement weather, then run to another door expecting a different result? And is positively incensed that we don’t have different weather on that side of the house. “Don’t you love me enough to organize nice weather on at least ONE side of this hovel???”

The cleaning guy: Supreme Leader Snoke, I take full responsibility for everything on the outside of the glass. But I believe those smudges are on the inside.

  11. sugitomo September 27, 2016 / 7:18 am

He’ll need to clean all the nose prints and paw prints now on the inside of those windows. Wait, is that just at my house…??
